I left my heating on low all night last night...unheard of in my MSE house! But it was -12 here and I didn't want anything frozen, busted or seized.

God help me when the direct debit is adjusted next year, have to give up the fags I rekon which will be good for me, but it's my one and only vice. Don't drink, do chocolate or young fit hard bodied men, sigh! Life can be hard at times.

-7 here at the moment. Not sure what it was during the night, but the weather report on the TV yesterday said it would be somewhere between -8 and -12. I think this is definitely our coldest day so far and the heating is likely to be on and off all day.

    Keep warm everybody:)
  • It's been on for 2 hours today. Off again now. Will try to keep it off til 6 now.

I use to love flying till I got on an Aeroflot plane to fly from Moscow to Ekaterinburg in the Ural mountains. Got on board and had managed to get the emergency exit seats. Soon wished we hadn't there was one almighty draft blowing round that door even before we took off. My seat was at an odd forward angle so I was slightly doubled up. My seatbelt didn't work. I couldn't believe it when the trolley dollies came round with the drinks. This "built like a bus" type opened this can of coke, poured me a small glass then used the rest of the same can to fill 2 other little cups for other people on the plane:D. I just sat there with my eyes shut for the whole flight praying. To give them their due they did land in what looked like hells freezer without a hitch. It was -25 outside. I got the train back, it only looked like a small distance on the map. 24 Hours it took :eek:

Yep - sounds just like his experiences.

I wonder if they'll get some new planes in time for the World Cup in 2018? :rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
For some reason I'm a lot colder today :( DH is coming home early too, so what I plan is to turn up heating when he gets on the train so its warmer in the house, then back down to 50 when I go to get him from the station.

Also, I have a woodburner question...where is the best forum to ask in?
