Oooohhh it's been brass monkeys here today!

Had to go out at 6 am on a bus and tube survey and I wore heavy trousers, boots, fleecy jumper and a wonderful padded jacket I bought in a charity shop for £15. It's Scandinavian, so well suited for cold weather. Now at home I have the heat on in full but it will be off at 6-ish when I have to go out on another survey until 10 pm. I'll take a flask with hot tea with me, I think. :o
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.
  • The temp in our house is about 12-15 C on the thermometer so I've just switched it on. Will put it off again once the kids are in bed and watch tv with blankets etc:D

I am so proud of myself, Still off here

Bought a massive dressing gown cheap and it goes over jumpers so that is me sorted for telly watching.

Curtains are drawn now and to be honest I really am not that cold. I am checking ebay though for a pair of fur mittens

  • My heating is on. I think its freezing here at the moment. Put it on at 4pm and its set to go off at 7pm but will keep an eye on the temperature in my childrens room as its been 14oC in there today and it feels cold as well (sometimes the temp shows it to be cold but it doesnt feel it if that makes sense). Its unusual for me to feel cold so it must be cold if I am lol.

At the moment its set to come on at 6am (when the children get up) and go off at 7.30am and then on again at 5pm and off at 7pm. Will see how cold it gets over night etc and decide from there whether to put it on a bit more or not.
