Debtmess sorry to hear about your aunt
Freakyogre yes folding them before they go in the bag would have made a huge difference
We have a damp house but it seems to make naff all difference if treating is on, it's summer or anything
I'm with the some like it too hot crew, !!!!!! battle of will with DS1 and DP wanting to wander about in just shorts with the heating on like it's the bahamas! Drives me mad, in fact I just went down to turn it down as DP had it on 19 and I hate being warm at night. Window open now would be just perfect but he'd go crackers. This house is open plan so can't just heat a room as it's dining room, sitting room & staircase in one
With hard cold floors I think it makes a massive difference, I close the only 2 doors I can, kitchen and hall/loo as they have them and are so much colder when heating is off. Stupidly several radiators in there....One day I might be more organised...........

Interestingly enough our two warmest rooms are the kitchen and bathroom, both with hard floors! Our coldest room is the hallway and landing, mixture of wood and carpet.
Off today! The house has stored a good amount of heat over the weekend but I've got a bit soft tooI think I'll plan to turn it on this evening. I'm in all day now, apart from going outside to do feeds for animals etc so I'll be generating heat by doing short fast bursts of housework!:D

Think if I could afford it and was organised enough I'd have an open fire burning wood rather than having the central heating on. Maybe it's just me, but it seems to be a nicer heat. The central heating seems to be dryer or something. Maybe I'm making this all up and it's just in my head, but there you go.0

Still off
Think we will get to December 1st no probs. Unless it snows I think we'd have a good shot at not putting it on at all. Realised it's a combination of living in the south west, having a south facing bedsit, having 2 of us living in it and hot water bottles and slippers. Can't say I've even felt like putting it on yet. Enjoying it while it lasts though as come February we'll be living in a 3 bed house in the north west and as I come from oop north I know how cold it gets!

The room I'm in has had the gas fire burning all day. It's been very cold and damp although the sun did try and shine for all of 5 minutes.
Need to be nice and warm.

On, as I predicted it would me. I didn't anticipate I'd be having an outside swim to save a chicken in the slurry, though...chicken and I both need some warmth now!0
