Is your heating ON or OFF?

Marmite, I agree with you. I feed the birds all year round, but there are some on the feeders and more in the trees waiting for their turn at this time of year. And water is very important too - especially when tyhe freezing weather comes. I feed the hedgehogs and the squirrels too; all these things need all the help they can get..
Cheers

Had to pop the two radiators on in the living room, but they were only on no 2 each, and they hardly heated up at all. But they took the chill off after the horrible rain..Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

CH set on thermostat to come on at 14 degess. It came on this morning.
Gas fire is on in the lounge. I am wearing my wool poncho, and feel quite cosy until I need to venture into another room for something - Brrr!

Its freezing here tonight, its still pouring with rain, and very windy normally heating would go off at 8, but have had to put it on for another hour. Seemingly the road over towards the ski slopes here today was blocked with snow which is only 20 miles away........... its getting too close!!!! I am so glad that I have been good with the heating up until now, its not so bad knowing I am in credit with the utility company and I can put it on extra without worryingEvery days a School day!0

I'm still off but only just!! Had to put the gas heater on for a wee half hour last night again as DS was shivering getting out the bath. Would like to hold out a bit longer but I'm not sure the weather will let me - currently sitting at 12C in the sitting room which isnt too bad but I am beginning to feel it in the mornings and at night. Sadly my stupid heating doesnt allow me to set it for certain times of the day or else I might have done it alreadyEmma

elf06 - we've got storage heaters too. I turned them on last night so they would come on today, and I'm glad I did. But thanks to the mild weather there were 9 extra bonus days of them being off when usually they'd have been on.DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt

Yeah I really think they'll be going on soon but then I keep finding reasons why not to put them on. We spend a lot of time at my parents at the weekend so it seemed silly to put it on when we werent going to be there, yesterday I was out visiting people (and a brand new ickle baby), this evening I will be at work and will be working all day again tomorrow so it just seems daft. Saying that I will prob wish I had put it on when I get in tonight (or tomorrow evening). Ho hum - I suspect it will be on by the end of the week though and as you say at least we've managed into Nov which makes a pleasant change

I have given in:(, but only just:) it was 8 degrees outside yesterday morning and 15 indoors, dd is off school poorly so had it on low for a few hours even though she was snuggled up under my duvet and had the fan on:cool: I was chilly even with layers and slanket over me .Have set it to come on at 6.30 am as boys are all up at7.15 and again to come on for a few hours in evening.I have been putting £20 in my gas pp meter every week even during the summer so where we were only using a max of £5 a week during the summer we have a lovely credit build up on meter .so hopefully will be able to carry on putting in £20 a week and not more during the winterPaul Walker , in my dreams;)0
