Very sharpe frost last night, heating on at 21 degrees and it was so warm and comfortable when I got up at 6.30....sun shone all day warmed up nicely..............:D

I live in rented accomadation and pay a heating bill once a year.Last year I had completely forgotten about it and got a real shock when I got the bill,as I hadn't budgeted for it.It helped me become more OS,as I was determined not to have to fork out so much money again.

For this year's bill,I've put money aside every month.I got the bill the other day,and it's almost half what I paid last year.I'm dead chuffed.

It's 18c in my sitting room just now,though sometimes it goes to 16c.There are flats above and below me,I'm sure that helps.I have two exposed walls,north and east.

Anyway the heating is still off.Sitting here wearing a few layers,with a few candles lit and the lava lamp on.

Our is still off. Kids slept in a little bit again today then didnt notice the cold as they played in the bedroom for a bit. I noticed it when i got out of bed though!!! But got myself ready is record breaking time!!! :P

on on on on... totally on. it's freezing! Although I've turned it down low, I've got several fleeces, jumpers, slippers, socks etc over me to make up the difference.

Gas heating is still off but coal fire is lit most evenings.

I am making a point of getting my clothes ready the night before so I can dress ultra-quickly in the morning!

Ours is still off, determined to last till Nov 1st, although its freezing here tonight, I am the one who feels the cold most in our house, so if I can stand it the others can , the only time I really feel it is when we get up in the morning, getting dressed extra quick at the moment we are managing with hot water bottles and extra blankets.

Anyone else want to join and we can stay strong together for the final 7 days? The weather is tempting me but I am trying to stay strong and keep my willpower strong too.

I'm warmer now I've dug out my fleecy housecoat thingy and tucked up under a blanket
