Heating!?
we must be thick skinned ... our heating wont go on for another month or two yet - think it was the end of oct last year before it went on!!
we really do find that wearing an extra layer, thick dressing gown and slippers keeps us warm!
and as for the heating going on soon ... we still sleep without the quilt on and the window wide open!
we are in sheffield ... must be under a warm cloud... sorry to hear some are feeling the cold already.

Gonna try to hold out till November if poss, the only time I've felt a nip in the air is getting out of the shower in the early morning... in fact I'm sitting with the windows open and just a sleeveless vest top on#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

The mornings are chillier but no need for the heating yet.
Evenings I've not noticed much but then again last few days have been hot and sunny
I shall hang on until October if I can. the cold we can live with, it's when it's damp too that makes it bloomin' awful.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

ideally November, but the way the weather is going, I'll be happy if I can last out till October. No way am I switching the heating on in September!
Going to spend the weekend sowing some foil blankets onto the fleece lining of my curtains (what an exciting life I lead!) I know it will make a huge difference once I put all the fleece curtains up0 -
through the day here on the island it is really warm but around 7 8 ish the temp really drops. every evening this week i been wrapped in blankets on sofa. my lil 2 yr old has been waking up early very cold. he is now wearing thick pj's and a vest to bed. hubby and i have a blanket on our bed and so do the kids.
were hoping to keep the heating off till end of oct. but were not gonna freeze it manly the early morning when have to get out of bed we might need it earlier0 -
Our heating won't go on until October, (hopefully) possibly November. I'm finally in credit with my gas and electricity dual fuel account and my payments are going to be reduced from next month..well as soon as i bung the heating on my credit will descend into debit and my payments are going to go back upto nearly £80 a month again so i am holding out for as long as possible.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

I'm already tempted to put the heating on. The two cats are currently nestled on top of me for warmth, I'm finding it difficult to type, I'm sure I've got a dead arm & I'm desperate for the loo so they're gunna have to shift shortly. Meanwhile I've got a dog lying on top of my feet, he doesn't want to move at all. Am so tempted to put the heating on right now ... but daren't. My GF would kill me.
Heavens to betsy I need a pee lol. Gotta go. Otherwise the heating's going on in October.I no longer contribute to the Benefits & Tax Credits forum.0
