    Hello All

Finally!!! turned ours off - need to wean OH off slowly as he preferrs to wear a T shirt with the heating on:mad: rather than a light junper and the heating off.

Been cutting down the useage by an hour a night for the last two weeks - been off for 4 days now - and no complaints.

Going to try to last out until November again this year!!

    Best Wishes
    ALL

Ours will go off at the end of this week until the end of October as pensioners we have to make sure we do not get cold. Just now its coming on at 7.30am till 10.30am and then 5.30pm till 10pm. Today its been colder inside than out, but the wind buffetting you about makes you nip inside asap.

We still have over half a tank of oil which I will fill up during the summer so we have a full tank to start next winter. Hopefully the price will go down a bit over the summer.

We are having extra insulation put in the roof next week and also the water tank re-lagged, so hopefully our bills will be lower when the heat goes on again.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

We are all very different. We have different houses and families and jobs/working hours etc. I live on my own with 4 sons and partners and parents visiting occasionally. I am therefore in complete control of whether I switch on my CH. At present I have an inset gas fire in my lounge but I would love a multi fuel burning stove as I could pick up lots of wood whilst walking my dog and therefore heat my house occasionally for free. I think that if I could install one I would be able to do without my CH a lot of the time. However, my sons think I am mad for contemplating removing an easy and clean method of heating. I havn't priced up the cost of converting from a gas fire to a multi fuel burner but I like the idea of not being dependent on the utility companies for my heating.

ous has been off now for about a week. been going to bed earlier as been finding it just a bit chilly about 11pm ish. but other than that i no one has noticed. It has been delightful on the isle of wight last week or so. even tho there has been a slight nip in the air and a light ground frost end of last week. but it all seems to be getting better day by day. however forcast for rest or week is rain :-(

Ours has been off for a couple of weeks now, and the week before that it was still on the timer but amazingly my OH was actually turning it off :j :j (the worlds gone mad I tell you :p).

We've even had the patio doors open beyond 8:30pm which has never happened before

She started running sometime around January this year, I think it must be increasing her metabolism or something as previously she'd moan if it was less than 24 degrees in our lounge

I'm turning off mine today. I've never turned it off completley before - just manually when it comes on witht he timer. I've got to try and scrape some savings during this weather as my direct debits are far too much.
