It will be the end of March before we think of turning the CH off as that is when winter ends and spring begins.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.

Only 2 hours from 2-4pm, yesterday and today!
After a wet start this morning, we've ended up with a lovely sunny afternoon with blue skies! A welcome reminder that spring is on the way!:T

The fatal day has come, folks, when I am going to give it a go to be without central heating from now, to the next 1st November. In fact it is probably still on now so I am going to switch it off NOW! Wish me good luck - today is very sunny here so there is a potential for a cold frosty night in the offing! BRRRRRR

Edited to say: closed, thank you for the plentiful advice, let's agree to disagree on this one, I am happy with what I am doing and will continue to do so unless or until it does not work for me, then I shall change! But thank you for your advice anyway!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • I had the heating on this morning now the window is wide open and the heating off. Think I'll give it a shot too. No Heating Day number one coming up.

Mine seems to have made it's own decision, and packed up, so it's off now...
