  • I had a super hot bath followed by a long session with the hairstyler to get my hair straight (and save a lot of time next week) and the smart meter jumped up by £1 over the course of that hour. So no more washing for a fortnight at least :D .
You reminded me that I have to book a hair session next week or the next. Pierre & James. :)
I had a poor experience when I was 16 - so never went back!
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

Overcast, around freezing now and not looking forward to the minus 6 expected tonight - doubt it will get up to 10 indoors before starting to drop.

@mjm3346, that really concerns me. Can you get out to a warmer place during the day? And even having the heat on very low is better than living at the temperatures you're reporting - check for eligibility for cold weather payments, and anything else you may be entitled too.
Thanks, I have a fan heater under the computer desk that's quite nice when it gets really cold and I wrap-up well - Spending on heating is not something that gives me any pleasure unlike say streaming services, higher end food choices etc.

That's reassuring thanks, @mjm3346. You being warm enough is the main thing! I do find we get damp areas in the house if we don't heat throughout, but yours may not be affected the same.
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
