Mild with no sun yesterday, 48/49 indoors all day, frost last night (meant to be the last for 10 days) took it down to 46 where it has stayed. Forecast is mainly wet and getting milder with no frost but the first day of full sunshine is 14th December which seems a long way away4

It's raining steadily here and forecast to do so all day: I'm still based in one room with an electric heater as we're on day 4 of no gas. The companies involved seem to have sorted it out between themselves (I thought that never happened!) so our local people are trying to fit us in.
The thermostat in the hall has been on 12.5 for the last couple of days and upstairs has our two small dehumidifiers running at full tilt. Washing that didn't dry on the line is on the airer: I gave it an hour in the tumble dryer but there was too much to get completely dry in that time.
I am so looking forward to having hot water on tap again! And heating of course.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

The workman is still here doing the kitchen floor so I don't want the full heating on as he is going in and out. I have the portable halogen heater on in the room we are sitting in upstairs instead. It throws off a lot of heat.7

It actually feels milder here today and will improve towards the weekend. Tomorrow and Monday will be warmer still but importantly dry and sunny, so they look like good days to dry washing. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Hour or so of unexpected sunshine about midday today so temp briefly touched 55 and remained at 54+ until19.00 so quite a treat although I can hear the wind howling outside now (don't think that was forecast either)3

Much milder outside today despite heavy rain earlier. That means it's much milder inside too! We have all but decided on the new boiler, just need a bit more info on what smart thermostat they could provide. We've decided that would help us keep pace with the digitisation of our environment as well as possibly saving some money in the longer term.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. Sun when it mattered today 12 to 2 so it got over 58 indoors and only just dipped below it now.2

I haven't switched mine on for a couple of days now. That changes this evening...

This time last year in Berkshire we were already one week into a bitterly cold fortnight, severe enough to trigger a cold weather payment (7 days when average temps were at or below 0C) Central heating was definitely needed for a couple of hours each day to stay comfortable, even with layered clothing and regular hot water bottle top ups.
So far this winter it has remained sufficiently mild that my layering regime alone suffices and no space heating has been needed just yet. The outlook is for temperatures to stay mild up until Christmas at least. Currently 14C in my living room and I'm feeling quite comfy and warm.
