Power cut yesterday for 4 hours and it's off again since 9am
I'm ok but in over 60s property and many are immobile5 -
This week I've used about 80 kWh of gas and 35 kWh electric. Gas CH and oil filled heater on in evenings.4

We were on a 2 hour "paid not to use" yesterday 5.00 pm / 7.00 pm so sat in the dark but could use gas fire (even fridge freezer was turned off). this was our 5th one but the others have only been 1 hour. so a bit worrying that we had 1,000s of people cutting back on these schemes but still there were some power cuts.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy4

I thought that too (planned power outage). @DigForVictory put up a link the other day to show times when your area might be affected, and the outages were in 3 hour blocks.Would they be allowed to stretch it an extra hour? Or is it somewhere with an actual power cut at the mo, eg Shetland?I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.4

I'm ok but in over 60s property and many are immobile. This is seriously worrying! Our infrastructure must have a written contingency for unthinkable circumstances.
@Reddleman79 - 80kWh sound like a lot but a back of an envelope calculation tells me that's 2.5 units on the meter? Which is about £27 on the coldest week of the year.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.2 -
