How large are the electrically heated wraps? Are they big enough towrap right round your body like a blanket? Not sure how long the cables are for plugging into a socket so if your armchair is located miles away from a power socket I assume they,re a little impractical?I bought one in February this year from Amazon for £53.00, now it's between £119.00 and £139.00! I've ordered another one from Argos for £80.00, I want it for upstairs. They are big - 20 x 160 x 2 centimetres and very cosy. Long cable but, as before, it can be used with an extension too. I wouldn't be without mine and have given two as presents to friends. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

I sat in my other living room yesterday to read as it is much warmer than my north facing room. I'm in there now and it is getting a nice amount of sunlight. I just had a man around to clean the windows and the gutters and I am putting my heating on for an hour as I kept having to open the front and back doors for him. I was saying to him how hard it must be to work outdoors in this weather and he said he hates it! He said January is usually the worst.5

Had a shock when I plugged my latest gas reading into my spreadsheet. I’ve spent £30 in the first 7 days of December. I calculated the same number of units at December 2021 price & it would have been £8.20. I tried to keep the heating off today but caved at 2pm & put it on. 14c downstairs & the dog was uncomfortable & shivering so it went on. I think I’m just resigned to December being an expensive month.9

We still haven't put it heating on yet. I'm amazed.
While OH wasn't here earlier today I had the heated blanket on.
We did use the oven not long ago for dinner. OH re-heated his meal, stew and mash, in the oven friendly glassware he'd used to store his dinner in the fridge. I put tofu, mixed veg and some side items to fill the oven.
The room is 17C according to the temperature reader we have so it is comfortable. The heated blanket has not long gone on as well just to help keep us warm.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy5 -
Finally turned the electric heater on today, which cost me 32p for an hour. My flat faces north and I'm generally OK with a jumper and a blanket but today was too darn chilly.

I felt very cold when I woke up today. I had a hot bath and put the heating on for an hour.
I have been testing how warm my jumpers are now it is actually cold. I have been putting each one on for half an hour to compare them. One cream jumper I bought from a charity shop because it looked warm totally failed and will be donated back.
I walked into my kitchen and could not believe the draught around my feet. I had put on slippers instead of slipper boots. I went back to wearing my slipper boots in the house. The shelf I moved to block out the draught near the living room window worked very well.:)2025 GOALS

Heating on? Well, made a discovery. My solar panels generate on a day like today, I have discovered (joyfully!) that they generate just enough to power a small heater! My electricity use at the moment is a nett zero according to smart meter box. Put kettle on - 2.75kW reading - so I know it's right. Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!8

Bedroom was 7.2 this morning, dressed in front of a fan heater - Nice and sunny today although still proper white in the shade -trouble with this sun this time of year is it being lower in the sky which cuts several hours of sun off the windows on top of the shorter days.4
