Is your heating ON or OFF?

Still off in Cambridge. We put the winter duvet on at the weekend and had the boiler serviced yesterday in anticipation for when the time comes.0

Frosty start today, so I made sure the thermostat was up so the heating came on this morning. It wasn't on for a full hour judging by the the radiators being warm rather than hot when I got up at 6.30am & the house is sat comfortably at 19c. There'll be plenty of sunshine coming in through the windows too.0

Mine is still off but it was freezing at half 6 this morning and I really struggled to get out of bed. Dug my Uggs out yesterday as my poor feet were like ice and I'm glad of them as I'm about to do the school runDEC GC £463.67/£450

Definitely a chill in the air now, I'm not sure if I will make it to November if it carries on like this 0

I’m trying to keep mine off, I had an electrician here all day and he’s had the front door open quite a while which has made the house feel pretty cold. So far I’m resisting the heating going on and layering up, hopefully it warms up a bit now the door is closed!0

I'm in a new house and haven't got the hang of the timer. Heating came on this morning for an hour and again for the evening by mistake but although I'm a 'layer up' usually I've got to say its so nice and cosy that I'm not turning it off.
Thermometer outside says 15C but it feels more like 10C. Really chilly outside yet have been laying in the sun this afternoon. Think it may be the damp wet from all the rain we've been getting that makes it feel so chilly.
Winter quilt went on at the weekend and I've not been too hot.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I think I have just about got a hang of my timer/thermostats bearing in mind that they are not accurate by about 2 degrees, I just put downstairs higher manually and it has kicked on. Later today I`ll raise it on the thermostat clock, initially for the getting -up period. It does feel a lot cooler this morning. Its all trial and error right now. These new thermostats are very fiddly. I dont have one on the boiler, only for each area zone0

Still off here in Berkshire though it has been noticeably chillier indoors the past few days. Instructed OH to start wearing socks to bed as I nearly had a heart attack when he put his freezing cold feet on me
We are moving in November so my hope is that we won’t need to use the heating until we are in the new house!Original mortgage free date: November 2044Current mortgage free date: November 2038Chipping away...0 -
I used two candles in lanterns last night, was nice and gave out enough heat, not too much because I didn`t want to doze off before bed. I like lanterns, nice and safe and the metal at the top gets warm, like mini radiators. I overdid getting candles the last few years, am wanting to downsize them0
