We put it on about 3 weeks ago when we came back from MIL's birthday party, 10pm into a cold house  . Then the weather picked up a bit and we turned it off. But this week it has been on, until Sc.Power adjusted my DD today to £92.50 per month and I turned it down, gave the children an extra blanket for bed and am sitting here in a "lovely" oversized cardi :p. I think I'll pop to bed now as hubby should have warmed my side up.

no heating on as yet, i live in a 2 bed room flat, have 2 adults and 6 kids below, my flat feels like a sauna when i walk in, if i feel cold i just put a jumper on, or law on the sofa under a blanket, my windows let plenty of warm sun in this month, its trapped and keeping the flat warm

DP put his foot down and now its on every morning between 7-8.30am, I counter stamped my foot down and refused to allow it in the evening as all the hot air from dp is enough to heat the whole street...Plus the kids like all the blankets to snuggel under

Right now I"m freezing.....so suspect when little monster gets up the heating will go on. Depends what happens when the sun comes out though.

  • We've still not had our heating on.I'm determined as I just want to save as much credit for when it's realy cold and let's face it it has'nt been that cold yet.
I'm just so shocked at my hubby's attitude(he's usually so soft) but I think I may have overdone the brainwashing as he's reaching for the throws of an evening and filling a hotwater bottle to take to bed and is'nt complaining. He's also said he has'nt been suffering at all from his rhinitis which always bothers him when the heating goes on,so that's a bonus.
We're just not thinking about it and it's become ok.

OK after testing that the heating was functioning (and very nice it was) - It is now off again - and I am re-committing to the November the 1st challenge! Like an alcoholic, I fell off the wagon, but I am now back on again. That's ok isn't it? :)

Always okay as long as you keep climbing back on larmy ;) . It's been warm again this morning but very dull/windy now. Still, I got all the nets/towels dry and have a pile of ironing which I can do while watching afternoon gardening programmes - just to remind me of better things to come :D .

Determined to hold off as long as poss..on 8th Nov I have some friends coming down from oop norf, hopefully it'll be warmer here than it is in the Dales. They've had their wood burner going for three weeks
  • My heating is set to come on at 6 in the morning for an hour (people getting up... DD 15yrs and DD 2 yrs) and then again at night 6-30 for an hour for baths etc.

We have an open fire and am burning all the waste wood OH brings home (roofer) have also made some paper bricks so will see how they go.
