  • We've had one morning of frost last week here in the south and was a shock to the system to have to scrape off the car ! Have now stocked up on de-icer in Ald!

Heating has been on since then for 15 mins in morning at 6am when we get up/shower and 15 mins in evening at 5pm 7pm and 9pm.

But the last 2 days Friday evening /Saturday all day and so far today my heating has been OFF as it has come really mild again and was sunny for most of yesterday.

    Can't believe its mid November.

Off here today. I was going to put it on when I first got out of bed, but resisted the urge. We are all still in our PJs dressing gowns and slippers, so will hopefully keep it off until this evening.
  • I felt really chilly yesterday but I curled up on the sofa with a duvet and some fluffy slippers. It's definitely still on here and it's warm jumper time already for me.

Now they are saying it's going to be the wettest winter on record?!

Ours is still off. It's 16 in our lounge atm, warmed up slightly from this morning. It will be lovely and warm when we cook dinner. Me and OH are wrapped up so no need for the heating yet!

  • I have been outside most of the day and it felt quite mild, but now I am in I am cold and have had to add another layer. I am still cold although weather station suggests 21 in lounge and 9 outside. I am just a big wuss patiently waiting for 5pm when the heating will come on until 10. Bliss.

I have been very bad MSE today.

Heating has been on all day, whilst I have been messing around in the house....with the doors and windows open.

In my defence.....i like a place to have fresh air, and work nights so often the house is largely shut other than the back door for cat and bedroom window. I do this every week when I finish shifts....just means in winter I waste money I guess as need heating on too, or i'd be pretty cold by the end of the day.

About to shut up shop now, have heating on for another hour to warm place up properly, then it will be off again.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.
