Still on the timer but I do find myself overriding it often now to switch it off....however today it is blowing a gale and so feels cold.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0

Our's is still on the timer but the temperature is turned down a little lower now. We usually have it on year round - almost - but just drop the timing's less and temp down. It is all electric and is cheap and efficient so we keep it ticking over.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
Mum to two boys :heartpuls0 -
Definitely off until October!!
Although we do have a log burner which would go on if it was a bit chilly (free wood from work so we dont mind using it!!!!)x

Barely had it on all winter.
Mind you I do wear a coat in the house.
Run it the other night just to keep it primed.0 -
We turned our off last weekend, but turned it on again on Thursday when the temp in DD's bedroom dropped to 12C
Off again today though, and it barely clicked on yesterday. We turned it on on 1st November last year so hope to keep it off until around then again.
As an aside, what temp is your heating set to? Ours is 19 degrees during morning and evening/ 16 daytime and 15 overnight. I find my workplace very hot lately so investigated, only to find that the heating was at 26.6 degrees, and still at full blast!! This in a place which "should" be 22 degrees year round...They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -
Mine has been off for a few days now.
I don't have central heating. No, that's not true. I have it, but in my mid-floor, only 2 sides of my cube exposed to the outside flat, I manage very comfortably only using a single portable heater in the living room. Even in the height of winter, I don't need more than that.
I had the heater on for a few hours in the evening earlier in the week, but I don't think it's been on the past 3 nights certainly.
It's funny... I never make a conscious decision along the lines of "today is the last day I'll use the heater", or "today is the last day I'll wear my woolly hat outside". Just suddenly I'll realise that I've not used or worn it for weeks, without noticing.Because it's fun to have money!

Turned it off last weekend but knocking it on for an hour today just to take the chill off - had all the windows open to clean.
Gave the energy company my reading for the whole winter and I was still in credit - they've adjusted my DD to pay me back!0 -
I turned mine off last weekend and no one here seems to have noticed so hoping it will stay off until October/November. Gas and electricity bill for December/January was £145 and for January/February it was £95 :j0
