Cold here today - dank and damp too. AGA still purring away ( as are the cats which now have to be slid out of the way to get near it!) but will light log burner this evening - paper rubbish to burn and it will make for a cosy Friday eveningBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

As I am the only one home until 11pm this evening, the heating is off. Living room is 17.9 degrees and our bedroom is 9 degrees (I love a cold room). My youngest DD has a Kakariki parakeet and a Cockatiel in her room so I am checking the temperature occasionally as I don't want them freezing to their perches! :eek:0

Mine is still on...then off...then on...then off. however I have just woken up to start getting up and ready for work and the cat was sat practically on my head, which means my head is the warmest place in the house. The heating was off, have just gone downstairs to find that the temp in the house is 11!! So it's back on and will stay on I think until I leave for work.
It's going to be cold here from weather reports, so will have to adjust the timers I think to be on for longer now. Problem is when it's on constant I keep forgetting to switch it off when I leave, so with adjusted timers I should stop myself doing this.
I also find I have kept turning rads on and off in different rooms as well as the heating, think it's time to maybe put another rads on too, and draw the curtains to conservatory shut.
Brrrrrrr......i'm freezing.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -

Living Room is at 57f (about 13.9c), and heating is still off.
If it drops below 50f (10c), then heating will be going on.
May break out the 15 TOG King Size Duvet soon.0 -

Still off here, only had one night when I wished it was on as I just couldn't get warm all night, kept waking up cold in the night despite a ton of blankets on my side of the bed. Not feeling it as much this year for some reason.0

I've been testing out the thermals, onesie and comedy slippers... so toastie the back door has been open all evening.
Although I'm going to have to change gas supplier if there are any out there that don't do standing charges. E-on have reduced my direct debit by a tenner and I'm £46 in credit, but looking at the last two bills; i've paid over £50 for the last 6 months but under a tenner of that was actually on gas.0 -
Got in from work and now with adjusted timers and bedroom rad on bedroom is too warm, so have shoved the other duvet in instead and switched rad off again. I prefer the bed warm and room cooler, so now have a fantastic 21 tog on the bed now.
Also opened kitchen window as I like some air coming in...it's a constant on/off, I feel like i'm constantly putting things on and off all day most days.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0
