Sun, shining in the window, makes it feel warmer.
I use a solar heater in sunny windows, take a large piece of card, cover one side with a black bin bag and one side with cheap foil and place in the window foil side facing into the room, can raise the temperature by one or two degrees.
Cheap as chips to make and no running costs... neighbors wonder what on earth it is tho.0 -
ON this morning, for the usual 10 min warm up. Will turn it off after that though.0

Still OFF here, thinking about getting a teas maid like my mum has.0

It's still off here but I might have to give in, my internal thermometer is broken and I no longer feel the cold, our bedroom is 11 degrees which I find a lovely temperature but the kids are complaining that they are having to go to bed in pj's socks, duvet, blanket......and they are still cold.
I was hoping to keep it off for longer but doesn't seem like I can0 -
Still off here. I have a blanket round my shoulders as I have the window open as the cat got out and I'm waiting to hear him cry to come in as there's probably going to be fireworks again tonight.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

Still off, today was a lot better as it was sunny and that makes it feel warmer. It´s tempting on rainy days, but I really cant afford it right now, I just moved house and that´s expensive enough as it is.0

fire has been on this afternoon and have just clicked the heating on for an hour to heat the other rooms.
We have had condensation in my sons bedroom however it was the worst on the day I had the heating on for about 3 hours, he got up in the morning and the windows were running and there was condensation on his ceiling. Normally there is only a bit of condensation on the window when the heating has only been on for a while0 -
I've given in. Just had the heating on for an hour as I was really cold even wearing lots of clothes and a blanket. Feel better now0
