Had a hat on and some gloves overnight. Quite warm at present indoors. I did allow the CH to come on for an hour around 4am. Hope to keep it off again...found my hot water bottles again..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Despite being a southern softie, I only have it on for an hour in the morning while washing.0

Could have easily put the heating on this morning, as it was definitely chilly. But we all wrapped up warm instead (trousers, t shirts and warm hoodies with thick socks on) and we are now fine0

No heating of any kind yet here in North Wales. It is cooler and the fleece blankets are out for the evenings and extra bedding on the beds for the kids. None of the kids have complained yet so the heating is off for now.0

Not on here (also a southern softie), I am determined to keep it switched off for as long as possible - already deep in debit with them, dreading the review of D/D  - so lots of layers and socks, also I found wearing a scarf really helped.
And I lit 4 church candles last night which warmed the room up quite a lot, as long as the door was kept shut. Candles are the way to go!! :T
Along with hot water bottles and blankets on the sofa to snuggle up in.0 -

I have my fleece blanket wrapped around me this evening, but the children are still doing without their jumpers, so cant be that cold!
Have just read this: http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/436170/Worst-winter-for-decades-Record-breaking-snow-predicted-for-November and am even more determined to keep it off as long as possible, especially if we have that to contend with from November-Jan.
I went forward right to near the end of October with Net Weather and no sign of snow near me, I won't believe it, as it is the express after all, but I am on holiday in Centerparcs Elveden Forest from 4-11th November so hope it stays away until after then, if it is true!

Still off here.
It rained overnight (and has just started raining again. Sky is seriously overcast), but it's still 65f in my living room.

Cold grey and very damp here today. My heating is on for the whole winter now, unless it suddenly turns tropical outside.
Can't keep up with the fat balls I am putting out for the birds, big fights breaking out. Are they stoking up their fat reserves for winter? Do they know something we don't?
They even faced down the magpies and me this morning, usually take flight at the first hint of any movement from anything else.0 -
No heating on yet here in Sunny Dorset! I did put the Autumn duvet on but it is abit too hot for us. We do live in a top floor flat so do benefit from our neighbours' heating and we are south facing so we catch all that lovely sun. We do pull the curtains in the evening and we have our winter dressing gowns ready and waiting, bring it on!My secret fantasy is having 2 men....
