I have accumulated loads of reusable shopping bags but having a terrible memory forget to take them with me. Think I'll be more suited with a trolley dolly. Never heard of them before so thankyou:)0

I have a National Trust one,two sainsbobs ones and a couple of Tesco's ones and two coop ones that were put through my letterbox.I also have a nice pink one that was bought for me last Christmas from M&S with butterflys on.most of these stay in the boot of my car until I go shopping Its not that I buy that much, but as I carry one or two in they stay in the kitchen until the car boot is empty then they all go back out there again.
My youngest DD bought me a light weight 'trolley dolly' last year which I keep in the porch for when I walk over to my local shops for odds and ends as I'm not too good at carrying shopping plus my handbag plus a walking stick.I have always hated plastic bags and found them horrible both to look at and what they do to the countryside and river pollution i know sometimes its impossible to not have one but M&S's idea to charge for them is a great idea. When i was young it was brown paper bags which cost 2d or 3d if they had little wooden and sting handles .My Mum if she had to buy one would use it until it was almost falling apart then it would be used to light the fire with. She had a couple of great 'string bags' that she used for shopping that went into her handbag.I used to have one of these when I first got married but I haven't seen them for years now. They were very good especially for veggies as they were quite light and you could stick them at the bottom of your handbag and they took up no room.I think they cost about half a crown0 -
I have a couple of these, also have the pink lunch bag:

They're not as cheap as supermarket versions, but I like them!
I have also bought the grandmother and godmother versions to put Christmas presents in this year instead of a normal gift bag.0 -
I've got a Cath Kidston one, which I've always put in the washing machine too. I've got a fold away (into a tiny pouch) co-op handy shopper, a couple of people tree fair trade bags. Loads of other tesco reusables, and jute ones.0

I've got the Cath Kidston ones and lots of those green "fold-a-tote" bags.
Loving the look of the Trolley-Dolly but the £30 outlay puts me off.
Then again I've just looked at how much room my own "bag of bags"
takes up so it does save space.
Perhaps when my bags start to wear out I'll consider it.
Don't think I'd risk leaving my purse in it on the trolley though...

The Tesco handy "green" bag, it's nice to know they will last so long :rotfl:.
I wouldn't use any of the plastic "bags for life" as they annoy me. .
Ditto!! I have a few of the handy green bags and hate the 'bags for life'. I do have one old 'trolley bag' that used to be sold years and years ago (they were large blue bags with a clear botton and had a plastic hook on each side which clipped over the trolley sides to make filling easier) but cant fill it as it gets too heavy
. I also spend about £3 on a bag from WH Sm!ths a while ago and its a heavy duty hessian type bag in purple with the dictionary deffenition of re-use on it. Its by far my fave
which i am sure for someone who's not quite 30 is a bit sad :rotfl: Emma

Rather sadly, perhaps I buy supermarket bags when I am on holiday. I have 2 lovely ones from California, some bright Carrefour ones from France, an orange Globus one from Germany, plus some rather nice jute ones from various farm shops around the country.
A cheap holiday souvenir (most are £1 or less) and they cheer me up whilst doing rather a dull chore.
Me too! I have them from all over the place, a couple from our twin town youth orchestra visit to Germany, a couple of designs from trips to Sweden, Canada. I don't think you're sad at all!
Also got all kinds of reusable ones from UK as well, Student finance. Our local council will send you one on request via their website. My dd sent for one as well. I don't know what sort of a check they keep on this though."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Felt such a nit after posting that suggestion: my T-shirt bags stretched & the stitching pulled, so I re-recycled them into dusters

I went back to morsbags, bags-for-life, a selection of Asda & Sainsbury's hold-all type bags & a giant IKEA bag all of which are supposed to live in the back of the car, but sometimes get left in the kitchen
aww bless! :A:rotfl:
Maybe i could make one for really really light stuff !:DA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
