The Tesco handy "green" bag, it's nice to know they will last so long :rotfl:. I just sling odd things straight in my handbag too.
I wouldn't use any of the plastic "bags for life" as they annoy me. It's still a plastic bag that will break and go into landfill in the end! Silly notion, much better to use a reusable, durable fabric bag that will last much longer, and then upon its deteriorating so much as to no longer be usable, it can be recycled or is biodegradable.0 -

I'm still using the Cath Kidston tesco bags that were on sale in 2008. The cost around £3 at the time and were made from recycled bottles. According to the label they can't be washed, but mine have been in and out of the washing machine many times.

I collected the whole set, with a little help from Penelope Penguin who sent me one that I couldn't find. They're still gorgeous two years down the line and I really hope Tesco do a promotion like this again soon. Some examples here and they are still available on ebay.

My favourite at the mo is a very sturdy jute bag which is approx 30x30x30cm. It holds a lot, being square (box like) in shape, but is not as big as the majority you get from supermarkets. Everything stacks in it very neatly. It was given to me, and I am on the look out to buy some more if I can find some.Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.0 -
Rather sadly, perhaps I buy supermarket bags when I am on holiday. I have 2 lovely ones from California, some bright Carrefour ones from France, an orange Globus one from Germany, plus some rather nice jute ones from various farm shops around the country.
A cheap holiday souvenir (most are £1 or less) and they cheer me up whilst doing rather a dull chore.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

I have a bag like this from sainsburys which is a really convenient size and just bought another almost identical from the local National Trust shop for £2.50. They are ideal for a small shop and a good size for a small person like me.
I also use 2 large black fabric bags from M&S(I think are recycled paper stuff) and a couple of bags for life.
I forgot my bags this week when I went to Mr T so used theirs. Several ripped before I had packed them and put them in the trolley and the rest ripped getting them out of the car. As I said to the woman in the store 'how can I re use them if they are carp?' She agreed they were rubbish.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Just a 40 degrees quick wash...mine had got so grubby that I probably wasn't going to use it any more, so I reckoned that I had nothing to lose, and it came out spotless and didn't lose it's shape. :j
