It's a combined fancy dress party for my Nana's 80th and my step-sisters 16th. The theme is Disney / cartoon's, and me and OH are going as the Incredibles... us two in lycra, that's enough to scare anyone! I might even see about posting a pic afterwards if you think you can handle it :D
Party sounds fun, as do the costumes. We like pictures here so, yes, would love to see them - we can handle most things, it takes a lot to shock us:D:D:D

I did buy the dress, but I can kind of justify it to myself, as OH's brother is getting married in December and I'm going to be using it for that. It's one of those 50's rockabilly dresses with the petticoat under like they do the rock n roll dances in. I love that style, and when it comes, I'm going to study how it's made and just make my own in future - pretty dress and pattern all in one :)

I've managed to resist the PC, but it will have to be bought soon, as my main entertainment / relaxing in the evening is my online games, which my current computer just won't do anymore :( but, I should be able to get it on interest free credit for 12 months, so it shouldn't be too bad as we'll easily be able to save it up in that time, we just don't have the money to hand here and now when we need it.
The dress sounds lovely, ideal for a wedding as well. Didn't realise you were a sewer as well - there are a few of us here. I do that with garments as well, make a pattern out of them and change it slightly at the same time so it's not exactly the same - I love free patterns:D:D:D

Shame about the PC. but it will be worth it when you do finally get it and you'll enjoy it even more then.

Spendy day for me, after checking the D/Debit had gone out of my bank.

Spent this morning checking prices of stuff I absolutely needed on Mr T's website, then wandering around locally comparing the noted prices against those at Mr M and A!di. Picked up a couple more tins of Organic Chickpeas up from B'n'M while they still have some (bargain at 29p), but none of the rest of the shopping.

When I finished work I picked up the (very few) bits that worked out cheapest at Mr M..... and then went and checked the chilled Whoopsies. I was heading over to A!di for cream, but there was a pot (of a much nicer one) here, and by the time I got the lass to do the last reduction on it I paid 19p against 59p at A!di :D I then spent the 40p saving (plus another 9p) on a pack of 2 creamy peppercorn kievs (whoopsied from £1.99), so that's another 2 evening meals being squeezed into the freezer ;) Still called into A!di though, as they appeared to be cheapest for the Tortillas I wanted (later discovered Mr T had a BOGOF that hadn't shown on my computer, which would have saved me 3p and gained me an extra point :o)

Came home, had a cuppa and a drink of water while I caught up on several forums, walked the dog (just over 3 miles), cooked and ate tea, then headed out at 9:15pm to go to Mr T (24 hour store about a 10-15 minute drive from home). By the time I'd got what I needed plus several other bits (trying to add variety to my diet while boosting healthy fats - struggle to balance fats against carbs & protein, hence the cream purchase - and increasing fibre) I didn't leave the store until 11:15pm  But I did spend quite a while comparing nutritional info between different dressings and types of seeds to add to my salads, which accounts for some of the lengthy visit. I also had to return a headset I got 13 days ago (started losing the output through one side early this week), which took longer than I'd expected as the lass had to get them checked by the technical team before they could authorise the return due to the type of product - and I've ended up spending a whopping amount extra for a replacement (didn't fancy the same rigmarole with another of the same, so now have one specifically marked as 'made for iP0d' - so any problems with that and I won't be happy at all nea.gif)

Going to do a tally up and figure out how much of what's left in my purse needs putting aside for the perishables I know I need in the next 11 days (up to next D/Debit day) tomorrow as I want to head to bed very shortly, but I'm certain I've blown the months GC budget again :( I just don't seem to be able to keep it as low as I want now I'm having to eat so much extra, so I guess I'm going to have to revisit my calculations and increase it accordingly :o

    Afternoon folks

Today is a spend day so I thought I'd cram in what spends I can (thats the right idea isn't it :o) :D.

So I've been to the health shop who relieved me of £37 and to M&S who took £24 but did give me a jumper in return as well as some lunch.

And I'll need to get diesel later and might try to pack a trip to the supermarket in to save going the rest of the weekend.

(which I understand is how the cool folk sign off :rotfl:)

Well, kind of Tixy, but we tend to view it as spending all on one day to avoid any further temptation:p:D.

It was very kind of M&S to give you a jumper and some lunch;)

Some very organised spending going on there, you've definitely got the hand of this NSD lark now:D

Not an NSD yesterday for me as I went to SW and lost 4.5 pounds in a fortnight. No idea where they went, but I bet I'll find them again soon.

Well done Hooby - it's funny how those pounds are harder to lose than to find, ain't it?

No NSD for me as normal Friday shop day, though am pleased with what I spent and what I bought :j

    Hi lovely NSD gang :A
Well it’s Friday, 2 weeks into October and the front page is awash with NSDs, methinks some targets will be rolling before much longer, well done everyone.:j:j

A very warm welcome to all our newbies signing up this month, new people are always welcome to join, we’re a a very friendly, if slightly insane, bunch and a surreal sense of humour definitely helps. We are, however, very serious in our aim to cut down on our spending and are happy to give advice/tips/hints so please ask if you’re not sure about anything. • Hello everyone!

My body clock has been all over the place these last few days - anyway, today's problem is I can't get to sleep - I've actually already been to bed tonight and got a couple of hours of zzz's, but a herd of elephants upstairs woke me up a short while ago and now I can't get back to sleep!

Anyway - enough of my ranting, on to more positive news - yesterday was another NSD, taking me up to 11 NSDs!

We're all doing fantastically this month - I'm having to get them in early though, as I have a friend coming over from across The Pond at the end of the month - so a blip is definitely anticipated - but it'll be worth it! ;)

    Have a good weekend everyone!

    Good morning everyone

Back on form today, I think! Went back to bed yesterday and slept for 4 hours!! I got soaked yesterday when I was out shopping and felt really cold and shivery when I got home, so back to kip with a hot water bottle for me!:D

Today should be a NSD - no plans to go anywhere. I want to get my heavy curtains put up - need OH to help and generally potter about.
Takeaway (bought by OH) and Strictly tonight - lovely!:j I'm very easily pleased!;)
    Have a lovely day everyone:)
