Keiss - I know how you are feeling with your asthma petal - I used to get like that and a physio we saw me like it told me to go straight to the docs to see nurse or doctor when my preventer inhaler didn't relieve the symptoms -which I did, got some steroids, and fit again within 2 days. You really shouldnot put up with it like that - get yourself seen to woman :D:D

And, I am sure that I am 'teaching Granny to suck eggs' here, but ..... do you use your preventer inhaler every morning and evening? I use to use my blue preventer all the time and my brown preveter occassionally, and when it was drummed into me to use my preventer EVERY morning and evening, and my reliever only when needed, I couldn't believe the difference it made. specially now that I am on Symbicort, which I use every morning and evening, and can use when and if required as a reliever too. Mind you, I hardly ever have to use any inhaler during the day now, except when something new seriously affects me

Hope you are feeling better tomorrow petal but, if not, get yourself to the docs
Thanks everyone for your concern everyone, especially 3dogs.

I have been using my Seretide inhaler morning and night, with Salbutamol when I need it during the day. At last feeling much better today...it's just the build up of catarrh that clogs me up and makes life unbearable!!

Unable to declare either yesterday or today as NSDs :(, but hoping for one tomorrow. Today should have been an NSD, but realized we were running out of Paracetamol (my painkiller of choice!), and wouldn't survive until Monday, so did a bit of a shop at Mr Ms...getting one of their reduced pork leg joints...looks scrummy! We haven't had a roast for ages, so looking forward to having it tomorrow. Also got some woopsied Onion Bread and Chilli & Mango Bread (yummmmmm!!!!).

Well, I am now a sock addict, that's official!! I have finished my first-ever pair and have started another!! This time the pattern is a bit fancy...will post a piccie when there is enough to see the pattern!!

Anyhoo, thought you would like to see my first pair:

The wool is coloured so it looks like I have used lots of different threads, when I have only used one!!

Right, off to oversee DS2 making the pizza.

Have a good evening everyone...Merlin's on @ 7.45, so will settle down with my knitting then :D.

Declaring today as NSD #10 - just over half way through the month, and comfortably more than half way to target.... well chuffed :D

About to let the dog out for his last 'visit', then I'm off to bed......

Got to get up with the alarm at 7am, as I have to be out of the house by 9am at the latest for my race.
Jobs to do in the morning include : eat breakfast 1 (porridge), get washed/dressed, walk dog, eat breakfast 2 (toast and marmalade), make up my lunch time salad (lettuce, cucumber and tomato - about to put cheese & onion sandwich filler in with cooled pasta and then put that into fridge now), change footwear for driving (remembering to put running shoes with stuff for taking), pack club running top if I've not put it on already (debating layering up in 2 tops, as it was a 'tad' chilly out this morning), pack change of clothes (and towel just in case) for after race, pack lunch, make sure I know where I'm going for the parking, fill water bottles, visit little room (no doubt for the umpteenth time, as my stomach is already churning ;)), put everything into car, let dog out for a last 'visit' before I leave, set alarm, lock house, set off, and breeeaaathe :rotfl:

Hello chaps and chappesses, been full of busy past couple of days but managed another NSD Friday, taking my total to 5. Tomorrow is looking promising for number 6.

Took son to martial arts class today - club leader now has his own premises, a sort of mini gym with a martial arts hall at the back. While the class was on the leader gave me and a few other parents a fitness class using weights. At the end of it I was fit to drop and drenched in sweat. He's only charging us a couple of quid a class so I think that is quite some bargain -my chance to get fit and tone up whilst waiting for son doing his stuff. I am so lazy when it comes to exercise that I need something like this to get me moving.

  • Hi all,

Yesterday was a NSD, but I had to buy a bulb for my car headlight today, so spendy today.

Think that makes me 8 / 10 so far?

    Take care x

Evening all - two things to declare tonight
    1. I am fed up with this cold
    2. I can officially declare NSD #12 - which means I've hit my Oct target already :j
I do kinda feel a bit like I've cheated since I have spent a large portion of the month to date away on business, kicking myself for buying that 'gift' at the airport cos now I'm not 100% sure about it

Haven't quite got my head around planning any required purchases as my normally organised brain has been replaced with cotton wool atm so Spoony, can you please raise my target to 15 and we'll see how I get on.

Good luck with your race tomorrow Cheryl.
Nargle, the fitness classes sound a fab idea :)

Reporting in with NSD NUMBER 10 - we did go to auction this morning but purchases there only count to car boot/work budget and we came straight home afterwards -well, after calling in at surgery to get my Flu jab, that is

Glad you're feeling better Keiss :j Just another thought, you said you use Paracetamol as pain-killer of choice. Do you ever use Ibrufen/Ibroprufen? I can't use them as they set my asthma off terribly, so just thought I would mention that too, as it is a known side-effect. Have you tried a nasal spray for the catarrh? I get one prescribed for my hayfever and it helps when I'm blocked up with catarrh

Good luck with the race Cheryl - and with getting sorted in the morning too!!!
