    Hi ppl,

Not doing to well with the NSD's this month gonna have to sort myself out, :o (please feel free to give me HUGE kick up the bum @ any time).

Have only had one more since last been on here, (3/16 so far), been to Blackpool with ekids to see illuminations, spent on donnuts, dinner and rock, but found a bargain at tea time.. a DOUBLE Hotdog for...... wait for it........ a masssive 55p, BARGAIN, even came with onions, red sauce and mustard, (my fav) :D.

Apart for not having many NSD's I have actually been busy Debt Busting...

So far this month i have managed to do the following:-

1, Cleared the last £195.00 remaining on my credit card, as it was at the end of the 0% deal.

    2. Paid my £200.00 overdraft off on my current account. 19.5%

    3. Paid off the £120.00 overdraft on wifes current account, which we use for paying the bills. Again 19.5%.

    4. Paid £400.00 towards wifes overdraft on the wifes other current account, what she uses for her wages. Unsure of rate, think its under 10%, as its a premier account.

    5. Paid an extra £100.00 off my catologue. 0% for 52 weeks.

    6. Paid 59p off wifes loan and £1.00 off the caravan loan. Don't laugh, I'm serious. (was checking that the internet payment transfer we set up was working)

    7. Paid an extra £200.00 off the caravan loan

Total overpayments so far this month, £1216.59. :T (All the overtime was worth it, but boy, do I feel knackered).

So all in all not doing to bad :D..

Roll on Friday as can't wait to BUST some more Debt. (Turning into an addiction, may have to start a debt busters anonymus group,. Hi my name is Chris and im addicted to paying off my Debts.). :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Planning tomorrow, wednesday and Thursday as NSD's as on overtime, again, Friday will be a spend day as my wifes out round town for my mums 30th, so will be treating myself to a few cans of beer, and the kids can have a few sweets.

wow, you are making great headway with your debts, inspirational :T.

Hi everyone, hope you are well, though from a very quick read through the last few pages there are a few sniffles going about.

Arrived back last night from a fantastic hen weekend for my future SIL with a combined 4-day hangover and disgusting cold - glad I'd booked today off work!! I've managed to notch up the odd NSD here and there so I'm up to 5 now please Spoon. Only went slightly over my budget for the weekend but it was definately worth it :D:D:D:D:D

So, what have I missed? Anyone want to fill me in on the gossip? xxx
Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon ....
  • I'm a member of a band and we pay subscriptions each week (the princely sum of £2) would people count this as a spend or not as it's a necessity?

How do I get in the challenge every month? Do I have to look out for the thread starting?

Hmm, it's something that you have to call for yourself really. I don't count things that come out of my account electronically on NSDs (DD, SOs etc.) but I do count all other spending, even if it's budgeted. For controlling non-budget spends I'm on the weekly spend challenge, which you might find useful too.

It's about what you consider spending I guess, and what you're happy to do.

As for the thread starting, there will be a post on the end of one thread joining it to the next, but it's always pretty high up on the DFW board so no excuse that you can't find it :rotfl:

NSD no. 3 for me. Going to go for another one tomorrow too, as have lots of food in the house . . . so no excuses!

    I agree Karen, you're doing fantastically well chrisfreelander :j :j :j

Mrs 3 Dogs fixed the van today :T :T :T :T Rang a guy who delivered a recon starter motor for £60 at 12.30pm and hubbie fitted it straight away - and van started first time :j so we were able to use it today for slimming class (I lost 2 1/2 pounds :j but Mr 3Dogs gained 4 1/2 ) and then called to Mr A's for my shopping which I couldn't get when the van was off the road, so today was a spend day. Tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday are looking good at the moment for NSD's though :D

  • Had a spend day today which was pre-planned. I met with my friend and we went to Saville Row as they had sheep there!
Also, we went into Abercrombie and fitch just to have our photos taken with the hot topless (male) model which I really enjoyed.:D

    *sigh*

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Tomorrow is hopefully going to be a NSD, despite being at work - I have set my alarm early in the hope that I will be able to get up and make a sandwich before work.
    Fingers crossed.
