And another NSD yesterday (4, I think).

Going to town today but won't be spending much as I decided to pay off my credit card in full for this month even though it leaves me pretty well skint for a week! I don't like paying interest any more if I can avoid it!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

OOOoooh i've lost count! I don't know whether I updated my signature last night. I think yesterday was 6NSD ? Someone correct me if you know different.

Should be another today as all stocked up and no DD's. Packed lunch for work.

  • Morning all, just skipped through the last four pages since yesterday - seems like everyone's doing well, particularly:

Total overpayments so far this month, £1216.59. :T (All the overtime was worth it, but boy, do I feel knackered).

So all in all not doing to bad :D..

    WOW - well done!! :T:T:T
tete why don't you get your painkillers in advance when you do your food shop that way you will avoid a one item spend day when i had nine in the house we had to do that otherwise the 2 pack limit caused lots of hassle just a thought hth for next time.

Hi Muffin man - thanks for that. I get the paracetamol+codeine from Boots as they're nice and strong, ibuprofen just doesn't seem to be cutting it anymore. I will look out for similar in the supermarket but not sure if they have them... (The two pack thing is a pain isn't it?! If you were hell-bent on topping yourself you'd just go back to another sales assistant or the next shop along the road wouldn't you?)

Anyway, as I managed to go into town and only spend the £1.99 on painkillers, AND I didn't get any money out of the bank to do so, AND I consider it an essential spend, I'm considering it a NSD :D making 6 altogether and three in a row! :D

    Hello lovely NSD-ers
Just a reminder that tomorrow is Freethought Day and we thought we'd have one of our virtual outings to New York to celebrate this in style:D:D

We have a wonderful means of transport (our very own tardis complete with comfy seats and a well-stocked bar:D) and can come and pick you up wherever you are.

If you'd like to join in with our lunacy tomorrow, please feel free, eveyone's welcome:D

O I can't make NY (mummy's birthday) but..... it is like my second home so if you need some good bars or restaruants happy to help!

    haha have fun

    Good morning everyone!

I managed to put off yesterday's food shop, so I'm up to 8 NSDs - hee yaw!

Looks like I'm a little too early to check into the tardis for our trip to Newport ... or is it New York ... I much prefer Sheila Bassey to Alicia Keys anyway (check out the New York (Empire State of Mind) parody here changed to "Newport (Ymerodraeth State of Mind)" if you didn't see it before EMI got the hump!

    Have a good day everyone!

Wasn't intending to come on this morning but nearly had an accident when I saw this.........
    :T:T:T:T Well done Chris. Classic.

Well yesterday was supposed to be one but ended up not being (sigh) and today deff wont be as its my normal shopping day!! Did have a thought tho - at work we have a cash free canteen which requires topping up a card and using that to spend in the canteen. Yesterday I used this card to buy toast at breakfast time (10p) but I've not been counting this in the NS challenge because i've not used the actual cash - I have, however, been declaring a spend day when I top the card up as its real money going from my pocket (or purse or bank etc) does everyone else thing this is ok or is the cheating hmmmmmmmmmmm???
