I'm aiming for NSD day 3 and 4 today and tomorrow since saturday is more than likely going to be a spend day since I'm off running with the running club, and I have to use the tube. I also need to pay for my London Marathon Entry, and buy food which I am going to try and hold off on until Saturday. Oh, and train tickets home for my cousin's wedding.
I have to say this thread is really helping. I'm thinking much more about what I'm spending and if I really need it. Since I'm on a tight budget this month due to being a freelance and having 5 days off sick recently plus various days where I couldn't fit in the office (No seats available!) it's so important for me to be more aware of what I'm spending.
So a big thankyou to everyone on here, it has given me a lot more encouragement to think about if I really need something.

Well yesterday was an annoying unplanned spend. Bit peeved with myself because of it!
Today I've done the food shopping, first time I've paid in cash for years! We normally spend through the month on credit card and then pay in full at the end, but in an attempt to focus and stick to a budget we're working in cash for the next five weeks! So although it is a SD, I stuck to budget so I'm quite pleased.
DS is back at school today too so all goodShould be back tomorrow to report a NSD.

Buffythedebtslayer wrote: »Hi,
I have done this challenge before but generally forget whenI have spent and when I haven't. However this month I am having some thoughts re debts and the like so instead of setting a target I just want to record the days I don't spend. I am also off sick so apologies if this makes no sense. I have a temp and am a bit all over the place
so far I haven't spent Tues, Wed. Probably won't spend today either.
It makes perfect sense, Buffy, and good to have you back..
Would you like me to add you to the front page, happy to record your NSDs with no target, if that helps you keep a record of your total.. just let me know.
Hope you feel better

Could have been a lot worse though..... feeling a tad sorry for myself as I've still heard nothing from (ex?)OH, even though he's been home since Saturday evening and I was hoping he'd maybe be coming over tonight due to me being off work tomorrow.
I am not going to be calling him - I clearly made that mistake before he went away (phoned to wish him a good holiday having heard nothing from him for three weeks) - and will use the time tonight/tomorrow to find all the stuff for the Breast Cancer fundraiser I'm going to at the weekend (24 hours of papercrafting from Saturday morning, and I'm not even sure where my paper trimmer is as I've done nothing in at least 6 months let alone sorted out any photos to take for my scrapbooking!!!)
In the past I'd have been consuming vast quantities of cakes, biscuits, sweets in general, and most definitely chocolate. So a quarter of a Whoopsied cake (of which a portion size is actually 1/6th) while still staying well with calorie limit and remaining close to nutritional balance (carbs/protein/fat) is pretty good going
And the cake was only 99p, so a lot cheaper than my 'old day' binges
((((hugs)))) Cheryl... if he doesn't get in touch then he clearly wasn't right for you.
Not surprised you're feeling sorry for yourself, but you're doing really well to avoid all the usual temptations. Hope the fundraiser at the weekend goes well.
Take care, thinking about you

Hoping for #3 today. I have a quandary tomorrow - I have a hospital appt that I'd forgotten about and will have to pay about £4 for parking ... I'm tempted to not class it as a spend though as it's unavoidable. If I DO class it as a spend day, I'll be tempted to buy chocolate and crisps and all sorts...
Is it cheating?
Most peeps here would class hospital parking as a necessary/unavoidable spend and therefore not lose an NSD for it... bang goes your excuse to buy chocolate and crisps then.....:rotfl::rotfl:
Hope this helps
