Good morning everyone
Made it #18 yesterday! Not feeling great ATM, still got a cold hovering and my psoriasis is off the Richter scale just now. Dont know what has triggered it this time, but I'm in agony plus it's so itchy!
Couldnt sleep because of it last night so resorted to the heavy duty anti histamines which stop the itch but make you feel like a zombie.
Today I'll be staying put, will content myself with reading/knitting and generally doing nowt! No spends though so that's a plus!
On the up side - I won a whopping £10 on the lottery, yippee (will go towards dog food later in the week!)
Have a lovely day everyone!:-)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
Hmmm - my NSD was thwarted yesterday when I made the fundamental error of forgetting to get the chicken legs out of the freezer for our tea
We had just sold an item of furniture and had £20 in our hand - instead of going in the purse it went to the chippy!
Hoping for one today though. Good luck everyoneDFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt

My friend's ok, well, as much as you can be with a kidney infection! Just going back to the hospital now to visit the person I work with at my second job (chest infection), before heading back to see my friend for xfactor. I was hoping to make it an NSD, but the sick people may be in need of chocolate or magazines and I'd feel bad if I turn up empty handed!
Got 5 things listed on eBay (it take an age, don't it!)... more to follow...
And I'm hoping to do a car boot with said friend... will let you know when we brave it!
Oh your poor friends! Hope they recover soon, and I think medicinal choc and magazines for sick people is worth losing a NSD for.
Still have to list my things on eBay which I will do this afternoon. I know what you mean about it taking ages (another benefit of the car boot) Perhaps we should do a car boot challenge next year when the weather is better?
Dopey - I must apologise, I totally omitted to wish you a very happy birthday yesterday - hope you had a lovely day x
Cheryl - hope you have some luck with your shoes. I expect you've tried M&S? only suggest that as my mum works at a competitor so has the same kind of shoe stipulations herself.
No NSD yesterday, went out for dinner and drinks last night and did rather spend more than I planned, which has kinda thwarted my efforts to save some pennies this monthGoing out to watch the fitba soon (Jinty - expect you'll be watching too?
) but I'm not planning to stay out as need to get home to list my eBay stuff.
Have a good afternoon all xFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Have to admit I've never rated their shoe designs (or the price of them) in the past, but that was before I had to stick to such tight requirements and had a bad legCheryl0 -
Morning all
Declaring yesterday and today as NSDs spoon...making 13 in all now :j
Feeling better slowly...but still quite wheezy..and my sinuses..... I may have to see the doc again tomorrow...really want to get to Scotland at the end of the week, but flying may be a problem the way I am felling atm.
Keiss - Inverness....brrrrr! I've never got north of Glasgow and that always seems cold enough for my liking. Thanks for the info about rhubarb, for some reason I thought it was more of an autumn fruit, but that would explain why I can barely find any. Its not one of my favs normally so I haven't paid attention to when it's in season before....
Great idea about a ceilidh Jinty...should be well recovered by then!!!
3Dogs -hope you can get your Mum's care sorted soon. We had probs when mum was ill, and unable to feed herself when in hospital. Dad ended up going in every day to feed her at every meal, even bringing in food she liked.
cw18 -you have my sympathy re shin-splints. DS2 has had them a few times, when he was growing so fast and doing lots of rugby. The first time, the doc recommended 3 weeks off school...which he couldn't really afford (GCSE year), but he did it. So the next time it happened, I took him to a local sports physiotherapist...she was great for him (then and since), getting him back to school within a few days. At £30 an hour every week, it was expensive, but we made the decision that it was worth it. We don't get on very well with the NHS approach to physiotherapy: no physical contact (sometimes a good massage is all that's needed) and dubious exercises. So, despite the cost, we go private.
Is there any way you could afford a session or two?? Is there a physio attached to the gym you go to...perhaps you could get a good deal...and a sensible exercise regime to boot. I know we are very lucky finding a great physio attached to the gym in our village. I have gone to her a lot the past year with my back problems and shee has been fantastic.
Good luck with your shoe-hunting...I always dread looking for new shoes.
Off to get more stitching done...still limited as wearing glasses hurts.
Enjoy the rest of Sunday....lovely weather here.

Keiss - the gym can pass my details on to a physio for them to then get in touch with me, but I've been advised by another member it's very expensive. There is one who's a member of the running club (does mate's rates at £15-20/session), but several attempts to contact her haven't had a single reply. I don't know anyone outside of the running club who's every used one (and they've all used the club member) so no recommendations to be gleaned either, and I'm loathe to try and find that kind of money to pay someone I pick from the yellow pages/off the 'netCheryl0

Afternoon lovely NSD gang:A
Well I logged in yesterday all ready to do the update, started it and then decided I was going to watch Strictly on the iplayer (no idea why, never watched it before, someone put the idea in my head, must have been a senior moment:o:o:o)... hence no update....

Afternoon all,
Well Friday and Saturday were LSD for me which was perfectly fine but today has been a NSD as I haven't gone anywhere and don't intend to! Number 15 today!
Tomorrow and Tuesday should also be NSDs for me too. I go into hospital on Wednesday to be induced so I can't imagine that I will be spending money whilst lying in a hospital bed and eventually going through labour! Will think of the money saving whilst going through all that pain!!
