It's too expensive. Simple. Espcially when number 47 which looks like identical style and size externally and was bought for £167,019 just two years ago0

I think it'd make a great family house so I'd dress it to show how it could work for a family, some toys and seating in the garden, (get the estate agent to stress the word 'secure' re the back garden) a high chair at the breakfast bar and stress how there's room for a buggy in the porch.
Pretty small for a family house, though, with that sq. footage....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
I think it's just the price, not radically overpriced but noticably a little too expensive. There's a limit to how much extra cash one can earn as a result of doing a place up nicely inside.
For example, this place in Harrogate is saying "Offers in region £220k", which probably means they'd take £200k, and it's detached and whatnot. I know that the north of town is generally far more expensive than the south of town but many families with a fixed budget would probably prefer a newer, roomier house.
It's all right round there, mind. I used to occasionally drink in the Shepherd's Dog or whatever it's called nowadays [Harlow Inn?].FACT.0 -
We have been looking in that area for a house. I would say the price is too high, not because it's not decorated well, it's in a great condition compared to a lot I've seen.
There doesn't seem to be a lot you could do to ad to the appeal because I'm guessing the main reason for people dismissing it isn't the decor but the concern about the factory/building on the same street, and to be frank the fact it looks ex-authority. We would worry about having to sell it on after we've outgrown it.
It's not because the market isn't bouyant around you because they're flying off the shelves around there (we can't buy one quick enough) so although it's a pain I would suggest cutting your losses and reducing to get your money out of it especially if you've had it up for so long.
I hope everything goes well for you and you manage to sell soon. Kelly0 -

It is still on the market actually but under a different estate agent (I'm very familiar with the area), hence the reason for the advice.0
