    Can you read? Or think?

Of course not. Seriously, though. It's £10 after 6 months which wasn't even yours in the first place. Do you really need the £10 that bad? I'm guessing yes based on your moronic answer.
  • I think the ability to type is taxing enough for it ;)

For it? What do you mean by that? Am I an it now because I think it's pathetic that someone wastes their time to come on the internet to complain about not being able to keep money that's not even hers? Are you all that poor that you get angry over something like this? Who even remembers this sort of thing?

I found a pound note once on the High Street (I was about 10, it was about 30 years ago). My mum took me to hand it in at the local police station and 3 months later we went back and collected it as it hadn't been claimed. I felt rich!

    Stop being such a plank.

It wasn't OP who found the money, it was her child. Her child then put the date the nice lady in the shop told her she could come back to see if the money had been claimed on her calendar. The child then waited patiently for 6 months, only to find the nice lady in the shop was wrong and she could not have the money.

Some people might think it's rather pathetic that you're complaining on the internet about someone complaining on the internet. ;)
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

And that is where good customer service falters. Firstly, as you can see from the responses to the OP most people would complain too. You are......

Do you know what? I really cannot be bothered to argue the rights and wrongs with you. I give up.
There's a growing trend to call something "bad customer service" when in fact the person just doesn't actually agree with it.

There's a growing trend on here for people to stick up for the retailers and not stand up to shoddy service.

But this isn't shoddy service, it's just something you don't agree with.

Had the money been handed in at a police station OP's daughter would have got it back. The Co-Op's policy (if that is indeed what it is) is rather shoddy if it advocates putting the money back in the till and not returning it to the finder after a set period of time has passed.
