Which TV Transmitter?

Hi, can somebody please tell me how to find out exactly which TV transmitter I'm getting my TV signals from?
I went to the site I found on another thread here and it says that my most likely transmitter is Crystal Palace, but also it might be Hannington; on a different site it tells me my most likely transmitter is Hannington but it might be Crystal Palace.
For some time now I have been unable to get several Freeview channels. I think I lost them way back last year when there was some sort of change.
However, I have now found that just occasionally I can watch those channels - amongst them one of my favourites, ITV3.
As I can get the lost channels occasionally I'm considering getting an aerial person to upgrade my aerial if one of the transmitters will give me access to the lost channels all the time.
Hope that makes sense!
I've just found on this site http://www.ukfree.tv/transmitters.php that in fact I should be on the Croydon transmitter, although it says that the analogue signal is switched off at Croydon, but I get analogue programmes.
Now I really am confused!

Buy or borrow a compass, figure out the direction your aerial is pointing, then plot this on a map and see which Xmitter it is directed at :-)0

I believe that if your analogue BBC station is BBC South and your ITV is Meridian your on Hannington0 -
Well I've just realised that I'm getting BBC London, so perhaps Hannington? I'm viewing the TV through Humax 9150 PVR so I'm not even sure if that's the digital or the analogue station!
I assumed I was on Crystal Palace when I lost several Freeview stations last year.
I get Channel 5 OK, but my friend (who also gets BBC London) doesn't, but she gets the channels which include ITV3.
So - who knows what transmitter I'm on.
My aerial points approximately South East I think from the outskirts of Bracknell.
Anybody in this part of the world who could give me some advice on what programmes they get, what aerial they have and which transmitter they're receiving from?0 -
Not sure what you are going to do with the information if you find your transmitter, as if you are not getting the channels you require then you need to bring in a reputable installer who will simply solve this for you, unless you have localised issues such as trees or high property's its not going to be a problem.
South east from Bracknell seems to be Croydon, the fact you are getting analogue channels means nothing, from Bracknell you could get the Crystal Palace analogue feed with a coat hanger on your chimney.
Check your channels received against this list:

You can also see whether you aerial is installed Horizontal or Vertical.

The Humax is digital.
Guildford is SE of Bracknell so it could be that TX. What ITV1 region do you get?
