Can i share a proud mum moment ? Luke is taking his GCSEs.. Hes doing hairdressing a BTEC course also.. I had a phone call today from college that he was the only student out of 25.. To get 100 % in one of the sections:D:D I am sooo proud of him.:D:D:D
How fantastic and thanks for sharing your proud mum moment - you must be so pleased and proud that your DS has done so well. Sending him good luck wishes for his other exams too - I remember how fraught our house was at exam times - and that was just me LOL !!0 -
chocolate orange-congrats to your son, i love those moments with my kids, makes me cry
crafty granny-can you add me to your blog list
jowri- happy birthday , have a great day0 -
Just having a little break from the accounts
Choccy - well Done to Luke - hope he does as well in his other exams. Is it ladies hairdressing or do they all do both nowadays? My best friend is a hairdresser and will never be out of work so I always think it's a good career. It was craftygranny who posted the blog link - its a godsend isn't it?
Can any one offer advice/suggestions please?:o
I'm having a nightmare with blogger - it wont let me in to the dashboard on my main pc (where all my photos are) I've been trying for a couple of days without any luck BUT I can get there on my laptop??? Think I'm going to post on the techie board and see if anyone knows what's wrong. Sooo frustrating.:o0 -
Huge well done to your son Choccy, no wonder you are proud, what an achievement :j :j :j
Marg, no idea about Blogger sorry, have you tried logging out and logging back in? Since the problems last week it has run fine on my laptop but it did loose all the DT commenting I'd done last week and a post on my own blog
Got a problem with my car, the **** engine management system light has come on this afternoon , trip to the garage tomorrowBest not tell OH that I've just spent £50 on a new pair of hair straighteners today that my hairdresser got me from her wholesalers
Had my timesheet approved after I knocked a couple of hours off, I had legitimately done the work but thought it was better that they pay me something rather than nothing at all. Am still feeling  about it. I am not continuing if they are not going to pay me for all the time I work. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
rainmac - thank you! I've tried everything I can think of. Hope you've got the straighteners well hidden for a while. Hope it's something very minor with your car and can be easily & cheaply fixed. It's infuriating when company's don't pay like that and you've got to wonder how many others they do it with - when you times it up by the number of employees they've got a couple of hours per person will give them a huge saving.
Rusty - hope you're feeling a bit better and have managed to snatch some sleep.0 -
Hey
Well today went ok really enjoyed it although there was not enough work to be done. Some of the work that I had to do I could not do as it was measuring and I am no good I struggle with numbers. Really enjoyed the free meal as well I have never been fed so well.
I am going to try do some more craft tonight but I am exhausted and need some sleep. Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0 -

I saw that you were doing some voluntary work, who is it for?Life is like a box of chocolates..........you always seem to pick the hard ones!0 -
ZLS Glad you have had a good day, it will get easier, its great that you get fed too.
Rainmac Hope the cars not too expensive, I'm sure when you take them to the garage they just think of a number and wait for a reaction when they are telling you the likley costs. Glad you got somewhere with the pay dispute, how awful you aren't getting paid for all the work you have done. I work an extra 45mins every Saturday for no pay just to get the shop set up and the orders done, it makes it easier for us but the owners say we are only getting paid from when the shop actually opens at 8am grrrr.. Like Marg says it can save the company lots of money that way.
Rusty I hope you are feeling a bit better and manage to get a good nights sleep tonight. My Mum has just been to the dentist for the same reason, they were on holiday last week and a lady on the same coach insisted she had a humbug and it broke her tooth!! The ones either side of the broken one are screwed in ones so she is hoping they will make another to match.
Choccy Huge well done to your son, thats brilliant!! I hope the rest of his exams go well for him too. Its great to have you back posting. We will be at the Southwell Folk Festival in a couple of weeksthen a bit of family history detective work around Arnold area, DH's family originate from around there. I will give you a wave as we pass lol
