Louby Lou really sorry to hear about your cousin hugs, I would tell that women unless she gives you details of the lady who wants it, your not going to do it.
I am feeling guilty today, yesterday my gran gave me £10 for looking after the dog. I did not want to say no thank you cause she was so grateful and wanted to show me that. Last thing that I wanted to do was upset or offend her.
Well better get off her so sleepy got lots to do today, hope you all have a blessed day.
Oh before I forget not going to be about as much soon cause I start work tomorrow. Its only voulentary but I have said I would be happy working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10am-2Pm:wave: Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0 -
I am so so sorry to hear about your cousin louby lou, such terrible news xxx
Zoe, good luck with the new job, that will look brilliant on your CV. You should not feel guilty about tsking the money, your gran would not have given it to you if she didn't want to would she? xxx:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Morning all.
ZLS - As rainmac said, she wouldn't have given it to you is she hadn't of wanted you to have it. Good luck with the job.
Louby - sorry to hear about your cousin. As for the nappy cake, I would refuse to make them for her, If you know where she works, then drop a flyer or 2 into the company and state your prices. But don't let her make a profit from your hard work.
Georgie - I have never used silicone glue, try glossy accents? I use glossy accents for all sorts of sticking, and I am even contemplating testing it on the lego ... see if it sticks LOL ... the amount of broken sets in this house is unreal!
Choccy - nice to see you back :j
Rainmac - I can't believe that company has done that to you  Get out whilst you can!
can't remember what else I have read, but the police werent for me ... :rotfl: my 2 SIL's decided they would have a BBQ whilst FIL & MIL were away ... bigger of the 2 SIL's had a bit too much to drink and started fighting with little SIL .... when little SIL locked herself in the bedroom big SIL got a crowbar from the shed and hit Little SIL's boyfriend with it as he got in the way, then proceeded to smash the life out of little SIL's bedroom door trying to get at her!! ... needless to say my MIL & FIL want to come home now, and Paul and I lost our saturday night trying to sort out all of this mess and tidy up! Grrr! One broken nose on one, and one broken hand on the other ... but they both need their heads banging together!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Good grief Rusty! What a weekend for you. What a shame you lost your precious time with OH trying to sort out family grrr! indeed - think you should be the one who bangs SIL's heads together (taking care not to further damage the broken nose)
ZLS - Don't feel guilty about gran giving you a treat for looking after Rex - as you say, she will have been so grateful for your help. It's good news about the job especially as it looks as if it will fit in with school hours. It could be a good stepping stone to a paid job.
Louby - so sorry to hear about your cousin, after a shock like that you'd be quite justified not to do the nappy cake for that horrid person who ripped you off.
Georgie - no idea what 'pinflair' is! I use Anita's tacky glue or sticky pads depending if I want flat or raised
rainmac - your new hairstyle sounds good - hope it's not too chilly round the back of your neck.0 -

But i hate that it is being done via 3rd party, she won't give me the persons contact details of who has ordered it as i suspect she has set her own price and will again make a profit for doing nothing.
I don't need an agent thank you very much!
i need to speak to the person who has ordered it as i need know certain things as i don't want to get the order wrong.
She wanted to pick it up tomoz but i haven't done it as she hadn't even told me how many tiers she wanted.
Why the person didn't just ring me direct i don't know.
Then mum rings to tell me my cousin has just found he has terminal cancer and has months if not weeks to live
Louby lou lou just a thought but could you put a note in the cake asking that person to contact you then you can ask for details of who gave them it and how much they paid. might be worth a try. Can't believe her cheek.
Louby thats so sad re your cousin it seems to be happening to more and more people hope they've got it wrong and can help him.
ZLS Good luck with the new job it sounds like you may enjoy it. I'm sure your gran wanted you to have the money or she wouldn't have given it to you. If you feel really bad you could always get a couple of little cakes and go and enjoy them with a cuppa with your gran.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

What annoyed me most is the kiddies had been angels, and I was just about to put them to bed at 9pm (weekends they are allowed up later) when we got the call, so we all went over there in our Pj's and slippers, OH had to take the big SIL back to her real dads, and eventually when little SIL came downstairs as police were leaving she kicked off with me, apparently I was supposed to be intimidated by her as she is over 6ft ... I just gave it all back to her, I was absolutely foaming as she upset DS aswell!! still it is sort of sorted now, well until OH's dad comes back then we will have to go through it all again. I wouldn't want to be in the girls shoes when they come back
I am feeling sorry for myself, just back from the dentists, had broken a tooth 3.5 years ago eating a toffee crisp out of the fridge, and only just got the last bit removed, so feeling very sore and sorry for myselfRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
