Craftygranny - hope you don't have to wait too much longer.
This reminds me - I was six when my Mum told me she was having my youngest brother. She told me a limited version of where babies come from "daddy seed in mummy's tummy etc". Apparently, my only comment was "What's worrying me is how it's going to get out?" Mum had the presence of mind to say "I'm not sure, I'll have to wait & see"

Hello all, my DS1 is nearly 7 and learnt last year at school that babies are made by the daddy giving a seed to the mummy. DS1 asked me if you could buy the seeds in Tescos
I had both of my monkeys in hospital, no pain relief and the 'accommodation' was incredibly basic. I was ok with that as had no intentions of stayingI felt the safest place to have a baby was in a hospital but didn't want them giving me drugs or having me as an in-patient. Had to stay in one night with DS1 but home in 6 hours with DS2. My mum said when she had me she was in hospital for a week to 'recover' and that was quite normal in the seventies.
Having a quiet day today, been to Tescos and got some ironing/hoovering to do but a cuppa calls first and a bit of blogging I think. All this talk of babies is making me broody but I remember the sleepless nights with DS2 all too clearly and that puts a stop to the brooding:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Morning Ladies
Hope all the poorlies are feeling better today and Rusty hope you are getting that much needed pain relief, thinking about you hun xxx
Congratulations to our recent winners too, and to Jack for such a fab card. Its great to hear of the youngsters winning prizes.
I had a fab time down in Devon, my gorgeous grandaughter was sooo well behaved and a delight to be with. We had a nice hotel with HUGE breakfasts (diet gone to pot, but back on track now) the weather could have been better but never mind. It was great to see my lovely son, even though he's now 31 he is still my babyJowri I waved to you several times when we passed your house, didn't realise just how close you live to my son!
Despite being happy to see my lovely family I have felt a bit off it, I've had an abcess on the back of my neck and its been quite painful, I am hoping most of the infection has drained away now and it certainly has shrunk in size so another couple of days should be back to normal.
Hoping to get March's birthday cards done this week, better get a move on there are loads to do.
Craftygranny I hope you get your baby news soon.0 -
Oh no Flourgirl, sorry you've been feeling not quite right. My brother is 32 and he is still my mum's 'baby'
. Sounds like you had a lovely trip, I bet your baking went down a storm.
Definitely one to bring up for embarassment's sake when he is older Marg
Big congrats to your Jack CT, he has your creative streak. Sorry I meant to comment earlier and say I can't really help with boxes as I find them difficult too.
Any news craftygranny?
I've just found out I have won a blog candy with 5 Tilda stamps and lots of other gorgeous goodies, really cheered me up. My nan has had a fall and hurt her back. She is at home but struggling, my mum and dad have gone to see her for a couple of days and my dad said this morning she looks a poor thing, bless her, can't stop thinking about her. Going to send her a card today just to let her know we are all thinking about her. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hi ladies, so sorry i have been AWOL lately, just been soooooo busy with one thing or another.
Sorry to ask and run but can anyone tell me where i can get 120 black scalloped cards? I know you can buy them from papermainia with white in them but i only need the black.
And can anyone point me in the right direction for some images of ladies please? I need elegant looking ones, but i don't want the too traditional type IYKWIM.
Hope all the poorlies are feeling better today, congratulations to all the latest winners and hugs to everyone :rotfl:0 -
