No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -

Craftygranny, how exciting! A friend of mine had her 3rd on Friday night, going to see her on Monday and I can't wait. Got a nappy cake and card to make.
Mad Frog, Rusty did go to hospital yesterday and they gave her pain relief (morphine and other stuff) but couldn't admit her as there were no beds . She said last night that the pain was horrendous
The hospital told her to go back today so please turn your knickers inside out and hope they can get her in and help make her more comfortable xxx
Happy St. David's Day!
I am baking chocolate cupcakes at the mo for my friend's birthday. There are 12 of us going for a meal tonight and I've made little favour boxes for the table filled with Cadbury's eclairs and the cakes. Need to get them cooked, iced and dropped off at the restaurant this afternoon so they will be a surprise later. DS1 went back to school today - yippee, I am soooooo looking forward to Thursday, first day on my own for nearly 3 weeksI intend doing very little
Hope everyone's ok xxx:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Sorry I've been AWOL since my last failed post, now I really have got behind so apologies if I miss anyone/anything.
Gemma - Glad to see you back - I've missed you. I got a kindle before Christmas and only read one book so far! I got it mainly to save taking books on holiday. Good to see the job's still going strong.
Addams - well done on your win - Good new challenge.
TomsMum - good to see you posting again too and your Mum is back home. Brothers eh!
Artydoll - Happy St David's Day! Lovely memories for you
Craftygranny - Hope all is going well for your son & DIL. The waiting will be hard, hope they make it today.
CPS - I have the Woodware cutter and it has recently started to wobble all over the place - my eyes aren't good but even I can see it's not right. I'd like to use a knife and steel rule like craftygranny but value my fingers.
Louby - (hugs) for your little boy. I had an operation as a young child and the bad memories are still with me, though I know things are much better nowadays. I think the best thing you can do to help him is to be very positive about it yourself, not let him see you are upset and make it as much like an adventure for him as you can. Easier said than done.
rainmac - thank you for the update on Rusty. I'm glad DS1 is now well enough to go back to school - I [STRIKE]presume[/STRIKE] hope the rest of you didn't succumb? Have a good night tonight & enjoy Thursday.
CT - not sure about boxes but will have a look.
Cazarol - sorry I've no idea.0 -

Last week Glittermum recommended a site for lovely candles. I tried it, ordered at midnight on Sunday and they arrived today! I haven't lit them yet but they smell lovely in the tin. You may remember Debbie from her cookery blogs and that she has 5  children. No idea how she finds the time to craft!
Thank you Glittermum for the suggestion.
ali.b - did you get your prize from your latest win? Not sure if you'd spotted it. x0 -
I've found some cute easter freebies but I don't know how long they'll stay free so grab them quick0
