CT I agree with Glittermum above, try and keep your chin up!!
Jowri, thankyou for the advice, nice to see how things work in different areas.
Wifey - Think I might just go straight to the head teacher tomorrow morning, not really sure what else I can do, I just know that I am furious about it!!
Glittermum - Hope you don't mind me asking, but my partner spent over an hour (when he was supposed to be working) finding information for blogs and how to get your blog ranked in google etc etc. If you would like the information then please can you email me and I can forward it on. Evening all, It's only Wednesday but I really do seem to be having an awful week. I've had a right barny with the company dealing with my insurance claim which has completely wound me up. My hubby got involved today and we now seem to be getting somewhere. I've only got 1 day left at work then i'm being whisked away on friday night as it's the big 30 for me on Saturday! I've made a cupcake card in my anger which my hubby says looks great, i'll try put a photo up tomorrow when i get back from work.
Regarding the comments about nursery. My DS is 3 and at preschool in a main school, we have found that they don't get any help and he has got in to the habit to hold in his poos until he gets home and has been having accidents. Although for the first time today, as grim as this is, he took himself off to the toilet at home and had a poo. He's only a baby and only turned 3 on 1st August and started school on 5 September so it was a big shock for him as he wasn't allowed any pull ups on, for the first few weeks he got rewarded with a sticker if he went and told them he had been to the toilet, he doesn't get them anymore which upsets him. When my DD was his age she went to a private nursery and they are the complete opposite, the children aren't allowed to move without being followed so there was always a nursery nurse to help them when they went to the toilet.
Sorry to rant on!Life is like a box of chocolates..........you always seem to pick the hard ones!0 -
Waves to all :hello:
Rusty - sorry to hear about little miss. Maybe try speaking to the head of pre-school first, then if you don't get any joy ask to speak to the head.
Bunbun - glad to see you missus. I haven't made any cards in forever as well so know what you mean about feeling a fraud. We are also watching the pennies but I keep popping on to see how everyone's doing.
Hugs to all, Thriftyxxx0 -
hello
I definitely feel the midweek tiredness - I think Wednesdays are always going to be early nights from now on.
CT your cards are lovely - I think with the recession etc. people don't want to pay for cards especially when they can get them 'handfinished' for cheap (embellishment slapped on by hand on a pre printed card). Don't worry your cards are still wonderful.
My goodness this nursery talk is a bit bewildering - when I worked with kids it took until they were about 4/5 before they could wipe their bottoms properly.
Bunbun I've just been through a dry patch and come out the other side - hang in there0 -
Ok - now I know this has been asked and answered before but I didn't have a need for it at the time!!!! I've just got some House Mouse stamps and have no idea how to mount them. Is it best to get the ez mount stuff and do I need to then leave it on it's own acrylic block or do they come off easily once you have finished stamping. Can someone give me the link for the ebay seller for the mount stuff also please. Cheers!!!!!!The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0

Hey Rusty, that's disgusting, poor lil M
I too would go talk to the person in charge. Our preschool helps children who need help in the loo and leave children to do it themselves if they say they want to do it themselves but a member of staff is in the room where the loos are in case they are needed. We provide gloves for this purpose. They are allowed to help clean etc as they work there and have been fully CRB checked. Big hugs to you and lil M and let us know how you get on tomorrow xxx
CT, your cards are stunning so pleased don't be disheartened. Maybe people didn't go with spare cash (I rarely carry cash) or just didn't need a card. Please do try again cos as you said you did really well before x
Hi Bunbun, lovely to see you here :j:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
CT - forgot to say, don't feel too disheartened about your cards. Maybe ask her if she can take them in again next month for you and perhaps let people know she will be bringing them in. Your cards are fab so don't worry! The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0

If they are the house mouse stamps which come with several in a pack like these then you need to mount them on Kling on. I have been using this seller for nearly a year now without any problems, I recommended her on here and I believe quite a few others used her from my recommendation
Thanks Rainmac, definately going to open my mouth tomorrow, not sure what will come out of it but hopefully I won't get angry and kick off! LOL ... mind you if I do then they will realise I am deadly serious and I won't have my princess (no matter how evil she is at the minute) treated like that!!!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Phew have just had a massive catch-up of blogs and posts. Think I've managed to comment on most blogs but apologies if I've missed any. Trouble is I can't remember all I've read on here so can I just say Hi to all - especially the newbies, hugs for any poorly folks and well done to the winners. There's been some really gorgeous makes posted on the blogs.
I picked up a copy of Quick Cards Made Easy mag today which has a lovely freebie - a pack of 36 Pink Petticoat Vintage Rose papers. It was my little treat from my 'earnings' today because I delivered an order of six cards. Am planning some more cards for tomorrow as I've got birthdays, anniversary and, of course, valentines day coming up.0
