Hello everyone, well we landed back this morning and I am now very tired, an early night for me tonight, I haven't managed to read through yet but will do that tomorrow and will catch up on blogs then too.

We had a good time, although the weather was very hit and miss, I don't like Virgin Atlantic either the staff onboard were very snooty and one girl had arguments with at least three people that I saw, very poor really.

I see there are some sales on so might have to do a bit of online craft shopping too ;)

hope you had a fab time we went to st lucia for our honymoon and loved it.
Well the only thing mr posti bought today was the info for the ichf at the NEC on 24-27th of march.

As i went at xmas i can't afford to go this time as i spent a bit too much and don't think hubby would let me loose so soon. I am waiting on a couple of things in the post, what are they doing with it all? i swear our posti nicks it all as i am a product tester and every post bag comes ripped open.

No secret santa and christening outfit that i ordered well before xmas.
Don't know what i am going to wear if it doesn't come ds2 gets christened this sunday and don't really want to go clothes shopping.
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)
Want to be fit for 30 not fat at 30
    but i want never gets!!!
  • I knew it was a mistake to have C&C on in the background when I was cleaning - Xyron design runner plus accessories, did mean I had to empty my savings account to cover the money that's about to go out of my current account - on the plus side - I've found my acrylic block - so will find something suitable to stamp and shade in a non-feminine way.

Hi. I would appreciate some help and advice.

I don't make many cards (I mostly sew) but would like to improve the look of the words and text and make the cards more personal and professional. I have used peel offs, handwritten messages (handwriting not very good!) and printed greetings from the computer and stuck them on but looking through the thread someone mentioned alphabet dies which I think are used in a machine. Could someone tell me a little about these machines and any other suggestions for putting greetings on cards.

    Thank you in advance

I don't make that many cards but I like the sentiments from Craftwork cards you could attach them with the foam pads to give a different look. I think the alphabet dies are quite expensive and you'd need a machine like a cuttlebug as well. But others might know better.

Louby - my DH says he'd read a lot of post has been stored in warehouses and is now being dealt with which is why there's no franking on the stamps. Hope you stuff comes soon.

    Mad frog - Welcome Back!

Tomsmum - Are you feeling any better?

Anyone going to Florida & room for a stowaway let me know :) It's 18 years since I was there & loved it.
  • Welcome home MadFrog - hope you had a fantastic holiday. You didn't miss much here weatherwise!!!

Louby - same here with post. I've got several orders in limbo somewhere!!! I did have a despatch email from Crafty Ribbons, Imag-e-nation and Sizzix today though so they should hopefully arrive soon! Did you get your dustbins emptied ok today??? I saw on the news that in some parts of the UK rubbish is piling up and one back lane was so full of bin bags you could pass through it.
The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.
  • Evening ladies, hope you're all well. I've got another evening of crafting planned so won't be around much. Thanks for all the replies re card prices.

Marg - I can fit you in a case for the outbound journey, but you don't have any hope of travelling back with me cos my spare case will be full of stash :) I'm going to order stuff to be delivered to the hotel so that I don't have to feel too guilty about spending time shopping ;)

CT - get yourself over to the dibb and get your countdown clock going and start planning - your holiday will be here a lot sooner than you think!

Madfrog - glad you got back safely. I'd heard that before about the virgin staff, but I have to say the ones on our flight last time were brilliant and couldn't be faulted.

Artydoll - when does your challenge finish? I'm going to try and get a card done

Can't remember what else I've read so sorry if I've missed anyone. Hugs to those who need them.x

I'm happy to have you as a stowaway on the way out Marg - I'm always outnumbered by the 3 men in my life, so it would be good to have someone come to all the craft shops with me, who understands my passion! Sorry but there wouldn't be room on the way back, as my suitcase will be full of stash.

Great idean WBR to get things delivered to the hotel, I hadn't thought of that, but you are right it would save some shopping time.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Welcome back Madfrog - glad you had a good time.

I have found the bits for my valentine card - will try and get it done tomorrow - mebbe - don't know where the time is going at the moment.

Have been lucky with my post had my sir stampalot order today and crafty superstore came yesterday along with your xmas card KMS - thank you :D. Just waiting for crafty ribbons now but there was quite a bit in it a metre at a time :rotfl: will have to start using some now I suppose.

Really must sort out some proper shelves and drawers for the formerly spare and now extremely overflowing bedroom :p
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
