I would like to join you in making cards, hope I can jump into this thread.
I was thinking today about making birthday cards and it occurred to me that I've never made one :o The cards I've always made were for Christmas so am a wee bit stuck for inspiration :o
I don't blog and it appears lots of you do so I am hoping to pick up some inspiration and talent via osmosis on here ;)

CT - you have inspired me with your sig! I don't have much to car boot but don't do much towards actually selling my cards so think I will set a target for the year.

Ooh how do you get on the mailing list for that then? I'm going to have to break open my Sealed Pot as all my Clubcard vouchers are in there :rotfl:

I ordered these and these today after seeing them in my Cardmaking & Papercraft mag last month. They didn't cost me anything either - I returned sales clothes today which put the credit card in credit. It would have been rude to leave credit on the card, so I ordered the stamps :D :A

CT is there any chance I could have a copy of your newspaper tutorial - I would love to try and do one.

Rusty - just wondering if you know I think I have read in the past that you have been to Dainty supplies at washington r they also the imagination (?) place as well - I just saw something on the internet I think for them and it said in Washington and wondered if they were at the same place??

Finally, I have never printed backing papers off the internet but thinking of having a go would you print it onto ordinary A4 or would you print it onto the slightly thicker paper that you would stamp images onto???

ooh p.s. those going to America are you taking orders:rotfl:.

Thanks SalesAdmin - I just put it on tonight in the hope that I can stick to the target and raise the money - the more I see it written down, the more I will do it (well that's the plan anyway). OH has just said we need a swear box too 50p a go, and i've just had to put 50p in as I just stubbed my toe on the stairs and it hurts. Other ways I'll get the money is from collecting £2.00 coins, and saving loose change. I am determined to raise the money.

  • I think i got on the mailing list just by going to previous shows. I don't think the ticket is a much value for money for me this time as the 3 shows for 1 price are sewing for pleasure, fashion embroidery & stitch and hobby crafts.

I prefer going at xmas as i always pick up some xmas gifts in the crafts for xmas fair.

welcome to all the newbies here is a list of all our blogs.

    Snipped u!!

I usually print on the Tesco Extra Special Paper which is thicker and has a nicer finish than normal copy paper or I use thin card depending on what project I am using it for.
