Oooh, lots of pages - I didn't manage to visit yesterday. I spent some time with DS. He's doing well, walking, with a bit of difficulty as he's sore and swollen :o, but he had the best night's sleep for months :T so not much of a grumpy bum :rotfl: . Hospital's checking up on him on 'phone and said he's doing too much - going upstairs to bed and to the toilet - shruggy shoulders - why did they send him home if he's not supposed to do that???????

Thank you all for the good wishes for DS and OH.

Let's see what I can remember.

BunBun Belated birthday wishes, hope it was a good one and that your card managed to get through.

Lovely news about Mel's pink bundle :j.

    Well done Artydoll :T.

Mary Aww, poor OH, hope he mends quickly.

CT Gosh, £10 each for everyone. That's a big addition to anyone's Christmas budget.

Padster Well done on the new DT position :T. And well done on being brave at the dentist :T. OH comes home today not yesterday.

Well, we've had about 3" of snow here. OH said at 10 to 8 this morning there was nothing where he was, strange that as it was supposed to hit the north Wales coast first. He has to come home as the hotel ward he is on closes for the weekend and no staff at all on it, I hope he has a good driver! Grandchildren are off school as their schools are 7 and 10 miles away and I was treated to snowballs being thrown at the conservatory window earlier! Silly boys didn't even have gloves on as they couldn't find them, their hands look red raw! GD was sensible and stayed inside!

DH's throat is now quite bad and he's on soft food as it hurts so much to swallow. They're making him omelettes at the hospital and offered him those drinks that are a meal. He remembers them from his time in Bristol for his bone marrow transplant last year and he says they were disgusting so he's hoping he doesn't have to have them again. We're supposed to be going to DS's for Christmas dinner, I said we could liquidise it for him :rotfl: .

Just heard a funny noise and it's snowing snowballs :rotfl: or should that be hail :rotfl: . It must have gone colder. Poppy's busy licking them up - doggy equivalent to ice cream????? They're all stuck on her coat, when they melt she'll go all curly and matted :( . I wont be taking her for a walk or run on the beach while the weather's like this!

Well, I'd better get off and tidy up a bit. Or I might just have a coffee first :rotfl: .

Hope everyone stays warm and safe.

Artydoll - Sorry, just a quickie from me, I know I wont have a moment free to make cards between now & Christmas but hope to have a bit of time between Christmas & new year so later would suit me better but then I don't have littlies at home. Not sure this helps - think it's swings & roundabouts.
Sorry you can't get out - it's bitterly cold here but no snow............yet!

Yay it worked :j:j - this is the first time I tried a blinking one so I wasn't sure. I'm glad you liked it. As for your challenge I don't do them very often so I don't feel I should comment.
  • Afternoon everyone. I'm on the scrounge!!!! Has anyone got a copy of issue 77 of Simply Cards & Papercraft? If so can you do me a huge favour and let me know? TIA

I hope everyone is OK - it started snowing here last night, but hasn't laid, but the temp must have plummeted in the night as both mine and DH's cars central locking wouldn't work properly this morning.

Artydoll - Why don't we have an extended challenge? That way those that have some time before Christmas can enter and those that find they have new stash or time after Christmas can also do so (pleases everyone that way)?

Tomsmum - Please tell your DS not to do very much at all, otherwise he could find himself in A&E with an extended stay. I speak from experience on that one! I hope your hubby finds something yum that he can eat without too much pain. x

I can't remeber what else I've read, so hugs to all. Will no doubt be back later. x
  • Hi Everyone, very cold and icy here not had anymore snow thankfully

    Mary hugs to you both
Tomsmum hope your hubby is home soon

hugs to all the poorlies too
