:bdaycake:HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUN BUN:bdaycake: – hope you have had a fabulous day.

Sorry been awol – been reading a bit but never enough time to sit and comment, so congratulations to all the recent winners, and well done on your new DT position Padster, and to Artydoll on winning the MSE Challenge.

I won’t be able to comment on all I have read, but things I remember were:

Congratulations Dragonllew’s OH on getting a new job, that must be a huge relief.

TomsMom – Glad you DS op went well, and hope the weather is ok for you DH to come home from hospital.

Gemm – what a horrible thing to happen to your car, just before Christmas, and how disgusting that whoever did it didn’t leave a note.

KMS – I am so glad you asked the question about LOTV die cut squares. I decided yesterday that I needed some, after seeing so many lovely cards made with them, that I was gutted that the website is now shut for Christmas.

Rusty – hope your back pain eases off soon.

Rainmac – fab amount you made at your pre school fair.

Can’t believe that it is Christmas next week. Thought I was done with buying presents and had started the mammoth task of wrapping, but found out yesterday that at my new job, they don’t do secret santa’s as there is only 6 of us, so we all buy a present for each other to the value of £10.00. Grrr. Anyone got any ideas on what to give, since I have only been there 3 weeks and don’t know anything about any of them – 5 women of varying ages and 1 man.

The kids pack up from school tomorrow, so suspect I won’t get on here much before Christmas. I been busy making all sorts of cards, and making blank birthday cards up to give as presents. Got fed up with making 6 each for people, so have now cut it down to 3, as I figure it is the thought that counts :o.

Posted out my secret santa present for the person on here on Tuesday, so hope it arrives safely in the next few days.

I can’t remember what else I have read recently, so hugs to anyone that needs them, and I will try to do better at posting on the thread soon.

I think it is hard to keep up on here at this time of year!

Have you tried Boots or M & S or even BHS or Debenhams. They have lots of reductions and 3 for 2's on. Pop over to the grabbit board. Or what about getting them all a mug for the office Jamie Oliver does some cool ones (although they may well have their own mugs ) Is there a particular day you have to give each other them on, or could you wait to see what the others give them? :rotfl:This would be great for the man

I order this the other day for OH uncle's fiance, it is great! And part of 3 for 2

    And check these out

Thanks for the ideas KMS -I need to give them out on Tuesday at the Christmas meal - the shaver would be great at that price, if the guy didn't have a beard :rotfl:.

I may well go with the mug idea for one of the ladies as I think she supports Arsenal, and haven't seen an arsenal one for her in the office. May also make up a snowman soup to go with it just need to track down an inexpensive Arsenal mug for her.

Love the manicure sets, and may well get something like that for some friends. The new company I am working for is a cancer charity that run workshops for ladies going through treatment for cancer, and they run sessions on disguise makeup; nail care, and wigs and headscarfs, so there are loads of free full size makeup/products that are give out to everyone attending, so we have loads of stuff like the nail kit, anti wrinkle creams etc in the office. This week I have already been given 2 full size clarins products, a 4 piece Yves St Laurent Eye make up gift pack; 4 lipsticks and a Joe Malone candle. I've never been a girl into make-up/products, but think I may have to learn how to use it now:rotfl:

Looks like I will need to brave the shops on Saturday to find something for each of them.

    Thanks for your suggestions though.

Hello everyone, so sorry I've been awol, I have no idea where this week has gone but I have made up loads of presents for DS1 and 2 to give to teachers, football coaches etc. I am so sick of cellophane as everything has been wrapped in it :p

Happy birthday Bunbun. hope you are having a wonderful day

    Congratulations artydoll :j

Tomsmom, so pleased to hear the news about your son's op x

Marg, sounds like you need a holiday missus x

KMS, so pleased to read your good news x

Rusty, sounds like you are in so much pain, hope you are keeping your chin up and not doing too much x

Gemm, sorry to hear about your car, that's awful

    Glittemum, what terrible news x

Dragonllew, fab news about your OH's new job, so happy for you x

Wifey, sounds like you had a fab time in York and have more fab times coming ;)

OAP, so sorry I didn't get my act together to enter your challenge :o

Padster, fab news about your new DT position :j

I have made 2 dozen cupcakes today for the preschool party tomorrow (nicked one to put in DS1's lunchbox ;)). I've also made lunch for the preschool staff, nothing fancy but thought it was a nice thing to do to say thank you for all the work they do.

We are taking the boys to have tea with Father Christmas on Saturday at a garden centre and off to Cadbury's World in Birmingham on Tuesday, weather permitting. Wednesday and Thursday are visiting people days and then it's Christmas Eve  I am so scared at how quick it is coming and how much there is still to do :(

Big hugs to everyone, take care in the weather xxx
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain

Get me - three posts today.

Just started to relook at blogs, PONR - your sock monkeys and kitties are really cute, and I've been meaning to attempt one this year, but never found the time.

Do you follow a pattern or book to make yours up? Just looked at Amazon and there are quite a few books for guidance, but not sure which one would be best. Any ideas?

    Thanks
