  • I'm free :j :j Once my car decided to start I got straight out the drive apart from the 2 cars and 2 pedestrians making me go in and out again - typical nowt past all day and as soon as I start manouvering (sp?) the world and his dog decide to go past. :rotfl::rotfl:

glad you had a good day Peppop
thanks for the warmer weather Flourgirl - can you send a bit more so I can break the ice on the pond? :D

OH keeps asking me if the postie has been - hopefully he's ordered me some xmas pressies ;)

Flourgirl Am I reading that right that your bank has asked you to lie to the police? If that's the case you should name and shame them right here, I think that is a disgrace, they can cancel your cards anytime. I think you should go into your nearest branch and shout letting everyone else in the queue here your woes and refuse to move until they sort it ;)

Liz are there any agencies your hubby could register with?

I knew this saving account wouldn't be easy, I am not married to OH so not officially the grandparent in the eyes of the law, trouble is OH will be working pretty much solid until we go away before Christmas so not in a position to go to any branches, will have a look at Gov bonds thanks Wanna B

There is a loud hammering sound coming from outside my kitchen, I can't see what it is, I am really hoping it is the snow melting and not a burst pipe dripping. Am off tomorrow so hoping to get some Christmas cards done as I am so far behind
  • Missed that about your cards Flourgirl - fancy being asked to report them lost and stolen - their way of covering up a screw up - if you don't get any joy write to their Head Office complaints department with all the details - I used to work for a well known high street bank and it was always decent customers that had problems rather than the ones you'd rather got their cards eaten IYKWIM

Coffee about 11 Madfrog? I'm off tomorrow really must wrap the last few presents before I go to my mothers and finish my cards but have to get OH some cash first as he's off on a night out in Newcastle Saturday (he'll be the one wearing a coat :rotfl:)

  • Oh get me posting twice in one day!!! Won't stay for long though as I have stamps finally (yippee) and can get on with my samples. Shopping was a kind of sucess - went to TK Max and bought a gorgeous American Crafts Scrapbook Set for £6 for my niece which is packed with gorgeous items and a beautiful album (good news is there were so many there I think they'll go down even further so may treat myself ;) ). Unfortunately, that was the only pressie I managed to get, so still have to brave the crowds again :(

    Padster - your FREEEEEEEEEEEE!! Hoorah

Flourgirl - can't believe that the bank want you to lie, that's truly appalling.

Jinksy - when you say a computer programme, do you mean a graphics programme so that you overlay images etc??? If so then I can recomend Daisytrail, awesome piece of software and really good price.

Peppop - I take it the postie still hasn't made it to you hun? Hopefully you will receive something shortly.

Rainmac - thanks for letting me know that your card arrived, I hope you had a lovely day and am truly sorry it was late.

Madfrog - hope the hammering was nothing to worry about. I discovered this morning that ice had forced the end stop off of my conservatory guttering.

Marg - I'll give it a couple more days and if you still haven't received anything I'll find you another prize. I feel really bad as you already had to wait for me to get my sorry butt into gear to get it out to you.

Right off to quickly blog hop and then must get these cards done.

Madfrog hopefully your noise is nothing serious

WBR Yay you got your stamps - sorry still no post, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow

    Padster :j:j Your FREEEEEEE :j:j

Hope everyone's enjoying this lovely warm weather we're having tonight - nope I've not lost the plot but it's about 20 degrees hotter tonight than it has been - it's a balmy 5 degrees tonight :j:j

I felt so sorry for a guy I work with's wife. She made it into work on Monday but their heating had broken so she got sent home at 10.30am and then got stuck in the gridlock on the motorway and didn't get home until 12.30AM 14 hours stuck in a car for a 30 minute journey :eek:

I'm off to try to finish my Christmas cards now that I've been able to get to Mr T for some printer ink. I've got some blogs to catch up on too so hopefully I'll get commenting over the next few days.

Evening ladies I just want to let you know that I'm really sorry but I'm not going to be able to send out christmas cards to you all, I just can't afford the postage with DH having no job and because I work a few hours a week he is not entittled to any benefits so we are going to really struggle to make ends meet keep your fingers and everything else crossed as he has a job interview tomorrow.

I will get my secret santa posted next week and will send anothe stash swap to CG and a ATC to CT to replace the missing ones next week.

Almost forgot to say congrants on Choccy on being a noonie! lol I would never have guessed that in a million years.

Hope those of you still stuck with the cold weather get some let up soon.

oooh padster you're free at last congrats.

I finally went out today too so hopefully this nasty snow and ice will go away and stay away.

Pep pop Glad your parcel finally got to you and hope you enjoy playing with it .

Choccy my 2 youngest have no idea what they want either so so far all they've got is a bigger tv for their room , some p.j's and slippers but i'm not allowed to say they have slippers as they aren't cool for 19 year old males even if they are simpsons and family guy. lol
I've never done a waterfall card either they look far too complicated for me .

Dragonllew hope all goes well for your oh's interview tomorrow.

Thankyou all for your support xx SANTANDER!!!! grrrr DH has told them in his letter he is charging them for his time, phone calls and trip to town to the local office and letters I said to try for £250 for the inconvenience and embarrasment of having his card declined. We haven't even started on my card!!!

So fed up today I have put the tree up and my gorgeous Willow came for tea and gave me a big hug and kiss. I ve had a big bar of IKEA choclate and a large glass of homemade sloe gin :)

Padster the snow is dripping constantly which is no good for my weak bladder lol Its certainly been warmer today, I hope it continues for a few more days xx
Rainmac Good luck with your next Christmas fair I really hope you do well and raise lots of cash xx
