KMS - I am the same, I was taught to respect my elders and bring my children up to do the same .... However I am furious if the "old" folk aren't polite etc, I will say something ... generally along the lines of you older folk expect respect from us younger generation, but you have no respect for us!

Craftygranny - Well Done you for reporting them! I find youths in gangs like that intimidating enough without them being so rude too.

Here's a little funny, a few weeks ago I was waiting in town at nearly 6pm for DH to pick me up by car. I was laden with shopping, there were no passers by and I became aware of a young man on the other side of the road grinning & watching me. I felt very uneasy and carefully shifted my shoulder bag across my body so he couldn't grab it, he continued to stare & grin and I got more anxious but didn't want to move from my meeting point as I couldn't get in touch with DH. This went on for some time....... I looked around for a refuge - Imagine how daft I felt when I realised I was stood a couple of doors from a hair salon and he hadn't been grinning at me at all but his girlfriend who was the receptionist!!! He'd come to meet her out of work.

Jellybaby - hope all goes well for you tomorrow.

Madfrog - hope all goes well with the pacemaker

OAP - What I find worst about all this technology lark is the sheer frustration of knowing the (usually simple) solution should be within our grasp and the way youngsters who know the answer say, "oh it's because XYZ" but fail to give a thorough explanation so I'm no further forward next time. That said, have you asked on the techie thread on here - they can be very helpful?

SX515W/Wifey's printer did the biz on Centura pearl card last night and on some hammered card from Papermill Shop and all printed edge to edge. Am I pleased? Yeppers! I still have to give the really thick stuff ago and I'm pleased with the way it prints in draft mode, the paper literally flies across the room.

It doesn't take a lot to make me a happy bunny. :D

Wifey - Ooooo! I'm really tempted by one of those printers now - I've already got a spare HP one waiting - wonder if I could persuade my boss we need one at work then I can sell it to them & get a new SX515W for me.

If you're on facebook there's a comp running by Cardmaking & Papercraft - just think of a number........

Marg, I was really disappointed in the HP printer I had, no matter what setup I tried with various card even HP card (ouch! rotten expensive) it just would not print completely edge to edge on anything other than paper. I asked in our local computer shop and they seemed to think it was the way the paper feeds. This new one feeds from the back whereas the HP fed from the front. OH loves it as he can print from downstairs on his lappy and I end up trotting down his prints to him, Result!, he reckons.

The HP is now sitting on my desk and bossman says to get myself a set of inks for the epson in exchange.
