Willow, join Splitcoast Stampers, it's free here check out their gallery and use the 'search' facility too for anything specific. Also, check their tutorials, loads of ways how to fold for different styles of cards. If there is a particular maker you like, say 'Lily of the Valley' check out their designers and follow their blogs too and check out the galleries on the company's website too, heaps of inspiration there as well.

    Ooh, thanks for this :)

  • rainmac hope your ds gets better for his bday. Sounds like our night every time we try and go out, mum calls us just as we get to the cinema or during our meal and once we actually made it to the film and meal to be called to fetch ds at midnight.

My house is a tip aswell :( don't know where to start.

Got to get on with some crafting as my DT starts again soon, i wasn't going to re-apply but i have lol for another 6 months and see how i feel after.

i did get some good bargains from the range the other day all xmas stock as they were putting easter things out but other than that i haven't been tempted by the sales crafting or otherwise.
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)

Create and craft has good deal on flex markers today- I'm trying not to buy them as I'm supposed to be buying essentials only. I'm trying to do storecupboard crafting this month- need to use up some stash, scraps and packaging!

  • That's why this thread is so dangerous :D

I think for a basic crafting kit you need:

    Double sided tape
    Craft knife
    Scissors

Anything else depends on the style of thing you want to make. You can get lovely things online, but it gets expensive quickly - anyone who reads the current recession articles saying that making your own gifts is cheaper knows it's a lie :D

Ha! It's not just this thread that's dangerous Ms FF :rotfl: Tagging me in your posts about crafty sales! :D I spent £10 on that site, another £6 getting that winter house stamp somewhere else after it sold out AND then went to Hobbycraft! Got some nice stuff in their sale but then spent the same amount on new promarkers lol!! I thought I was joking when I said to my Dad that I bet him that my promarkers would cost as much as the rest of the stuff in the basket....:rotfl:

  • hi i went to hobbycraft and bought 3 packs of promarkers- even better, i didn't have any of the colours in the packs so a mega bargain! the decorations are down now, but we now need a really good clean to hoover up all the glitter! it looks so bare now :( and we have to somehow get the sofas out the livingroom ready for our new ones which are arriving soon! i don't even want to mention upstairs as the shower was leaking and now a tap is, it's not a relaxing place at the moment! i'm hoping to craft this afternoon so may even have a card to share later :T

Jellie- you asked if it was stickles on the flowers on the wedding card and it was! frosted lace i think x but i watched C+C yesterday and they used the glue sprays and normal glitter and that looked very effective.

Fancy joining me in a craft stash ban Jellie? I had a small splurge at Crafts 4 You yesterday but now want to go without buying at least until the end of the month if I can and use up what I already have.
