I have a Purple Cow guillotine that I got from Costco. It works pretty well but you have to secure the paper well or it can go squint.
My Crafty Emma order is fantastic! Loads of flowers, some LOVELY charms and another First Edition pad0 -

Had a sort through my stash box and found a load of Tulip toppers at the bottom that I'd bought on a 3 for 2 at the Range because they were sooooo pretty! Added to that a packet of adhesive stones in "monochrome" that I didn't even know I had (?!) and you have the card I am about to pop up on my bloggy-do-dah
Hope this counts for the challenge as I'm not sure I could manage another rummage through that box *faints* lol!!
Right, all posted for your perusal if you should so wishAlso posted a fair few on me FB page

FF, the Guillotine bit is OK but the finger guard gets in the way if you want to cut a small mat and I can't get the paper trimmer to work at all with card. As for the Purple Cows customer service, it's non-existent.
I don't know about where you are but it's blowing a fair gale out there. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -

I had a small splurge at Crafts 4 You yesterday but now want to go without buying at least until the end of the month if I can and use up what I already have.
I'm in- have been shopping my stash yesterday and am going to attempt to write a tutorial or two for my blob to explain the techniques.Kellylouise88 wrote: »Hello, can I Join??
I want to buy a guillotine, where would be the best place to buy one of these? !!
Hi Kelly Louise. I bought a Fiskars guillotine and it is brill! Easy to line up, it has a groove you can use to score when making card bases or boxes. The design also makes it easy to cut frames so you can use a frame to mat and layer rather than waste a whole piece of card if that makes sense!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
I've just put up my first tutorial in the other place- making a new background paper from thin scraps. I'm part way through making a couple more!!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0

love the Tutorial *Jellie* I've seen something similar before and you inspired me to have a go,uses up scraps.
Anyone got any tips when colouring with promarkers.I'm doing a bday card for s.i.l. it's a footie theme (no change there then )I'm colouring the background in forest green but struggling not to have streaks:( Do you do large areas in a swirly motion or in lines either way my results aren't brilliant.
any advice I'd be grateful for0 -
macma, are you using card/paper recommended for Promarkers? It can make some difference. I've seen Nicky of Polka Doodles do something similar but it was a fairly light grey and she used the bullet end not the pointy end. Let me see if I can find anything on her site.
Well, found this on Youtube using Copics but I would think the principal is the same, I'll get a better look at it tonight as I am at work at the moment:whistle: Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
Hi ladies - Happy New Year  I'm back from the in laws and trying to catch up on ho****ork !
Hi Kelly Louise - I have a small Xcut guillotine - it's great except you can't cut A4 or 12'' paper on it which limits its use. I've just got a Fiskars paper trimmer which is more versatile but not cheap
XCut here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mini-Xcut-Handy-Guillotine-Pink/dp/B0027IXYWY
Fiskars one here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fiskars-9698-Paper-Trimmer-30cm/dp/B00019DTRQ
If you go for either of these, shop around for the best price0 -
Hey thanks girls. I did look at the fiskar one, I'll have to wait til pay day tho
.
I do have a printer but its pretty old and need new ink, think I may buy a new one. What paper do you use when you do print things out? My DDs birthday this month so going to make her a card. I also want to make my partner a Valentines card.
