  • Is anyone else confused by the instructions from the company who cannot be named?

I did the supermarket audits last week and some of my bays had 6 shelves but at that time the instructions were not to add any rows or columns to the results sheet, then they sent an email to say those still to do their audits must remember to add columns but not to worry if you have already done it!!

Today I get an email to say that can everyone look at their results and correct them - well surely they should have told us this when the previous email came out. Now they are in a rush to get it finalised.

And while I am having a moan has anyone done the bath audits??

I have done 2 today, estimated time instore was 1.5 hours - actually it was more like 2 - 2.5 hours all for a measly amount of money. At least I will know next time

I don't think the brief for the supermarket audits was clear at all on what we were supposed to be measuring hence the confusion. Also, yes annoying that we now have to correct them when we followed the brief the first time. None of the bath jobs have gone in my area and I am certainly not doing them after what you have just said, that's what I thought it would be like!
  • I am used to auditing when I worked for a supermarket so thought I knew what it would be like. The problem is there are no price labels and if the stock has not been labelled with the Code used then you have to guess from the description.

So the time in store was 2+ hours, goodness knows how long it will take to enter the results. I will do a follow up email to explain the problems.

The store were annoyed because they have already sent photo's to Head Office so now they think they can't be trusted!!

I cant even work out from the email if I did it correctly or not! Oh well, I am not going to mess about with it now. They can have it as is or not at all. It dosnt pay enough to cover the hassle.

You know what makes me laugh? ESA calling saying can you do frozen shop.... Maybe why? The one in your home town is needing doing....

Sure whats the fee? X.XX Oh right... Well I can get the fee bumped up.

Good im glad you can because its -15 outside the roads are Sh** and im not getting my car out or walking for that.

I get a phone call later GREAT news I can get you an extra 1.00 because you live only 2.8 miles away...

Yeah I do your right but in not moving my car for a 1.00

    "Can't you walk?"

and the guy gets cheeky with me! Telling me I can't be that selective because there are people who will do it for less. I said go call them but incase you don't listen to TV radio etc where in Scotland they are calling the army to clear roads and police say don't travel etc etc.

I intend on calling ESA tomorrow and speaking to a manager etc that IMO is very rude behaviour. No wonder they are calling every few days for emergencies.

YES! 2 issues with mine, the first time they came back it's because they made some of the "optional" sections mandatory - why didn't they do that the first time?

2nd time they didn't like me putting "N/A", they wanted me to go through them and write "None". Apparently there's a massive difference :S

Jen, I know you have this all in hand, but I would remind him that you are self employed which means he does not get to dictate which jobs you accept or don't accept. If they want to do that, ask them for a guaranteed wage!

ESA and another company (GR if you are reading) have left me messages saying that "I must call them back immediately after getting their message" for things that are not remotely urgent or important. Do they not understand that such a ridiculous message only works once and then is totally ignored?

Where was the shop? I think I might have been asked to do the same one.
