Anyone in Aberdeenish?? I was intending to go to the Uni tomorrow and take back a pile of library books and also do a mystery eat in the new shopping centre by the bus garage. What are the chances of getting there unscathed on the roads from Dundee? I was talking to an offshore man this morning and he was saying he's got a couple of extra days leave die to weather.

Friend of mine drve said it was slow moving...

how is dundee like? I have to go to Angus Fofar and stirling this week? can you let me know?

I think I'll leave Aberdeen today as its over 60 miles and a bit a stupid to be setting out until weather improves a bit, especially as I only have a little car.
Couldn't get up my road last night, eventually neighbour came to help .
Atm it's a bit dire, Kingsway Ok, but I'm not going anywhere today. Sun out and I can see gritters about.
    Will keep you posted.

Looking quite snowy here in West Lothian...
  • Morning all. Has anyone been allocated any of the react electricals yet? They all say they're due tomorrow, but don't appear to have been given out yet. Seems a bit weird.

Beckybrainie, I read that not all of them will be allocated so I imagine they are doing only a proportion of the amount shown.
No Matter what you do there will be critics.

    Hi

    Have just seen your message.

I am the other direction from Dundee, in Aberdeenshire, but the weather is less wild today. There is a fair bit of snow and quite slidey on the little roads but I think the big roads should be ok.
Saying that I won't be venturing out unless I really have too!

Thanks for that. Think I'll have another try to get there tomorrow. No point going if it's going to be difficult getting back and causing a load of stress and worry.
  • I have two current account with cheque books ans I often use them to do MS counter transactions at banks and like everyone else its mostly for school and nursery etc.

Me too, I use cheques for a few things. My dentist adds 2% on to the bill if you use a credit/debit card! He only accepts cash or cheque:(

If you are with HSBC, they send a letter out when a foreign company pays you. So everytime I get money from BARE, they send me a letter saying xxx amount of Euros have been deposited by xxx company on the xx/xx/xxxx. I can't wait to get my payment for the 4 jewellery shops I did!
  • Hope the weather isn't too dire in northern climes. There is just a light dusting of snow down here (home counties/East Anglia borders). I am dreading it getting any worse, after last winter's fiascos.

Weather aside, I do feel snowed under: one of my sassie shop logs (yes, just one) has 46 jobs (yes, forty six and some of these are two-parters) to be done between now and 24 December! I had been thinking that November was frantic and that December would be a bit quiet. Obviously, this is not the case. Is it like this for everyone else? Are we going to be twiddling our thumbs in January?
