I have had a look on the web site and am now thinking that I may buy something for myself. I really "need" a new necklace ;) and they have some lovely pendants. I am never going to get rich doing ms'ing am I?! This is why I don't do car jobs, god knows what I would come home with!
Would anyone who has done one recently possibly PM me to tell me exactly how much the reimbursment works out in £? Not sure how the rate works going from euros to £'s. Ta very much.

As I said before, I did buy a van after a shop at the garage opposite.

Why not use a currency converter as it will be different each day, not by much but you may as well know.

I wanted to buy charms but it wasn't clear in the notes if you could buy just charms?

Yes, you can. I made my enquiry about something else, but bought the charms with no problems. When the staff member offered me help, I just said: "I'm after one of the charms for my niece, but while I'm here, maybe you could give me some advice about a Christmas present for my sister...."

Can anyone please advise me what to do about tax implications if the MS company pays all my costs (door to door) for a hotel/short break stay - but there is no actual fee ? Its a bit like the Retail Eyes hotels which I gather are reimbursment only - but on a bigger scale. The job is not to a place I would normally choose to go but I will be getting a short break paid fully plus it will be a LOT of work ! Obviously, I can't do the job if I don't take the trip but I don't want to end up being taxed on the full cost of the trip.

If anyone who does reimbursement only hotels, holiday or flight assignments can advise me how they handle it, I would appreciate their help.

A lot of RE hotel drinks jobs dropped last minute... what you mean 1 pnt doesn't interest you?? LOL
  • Tern has ski resort bar/restaurant/hotel jobs for February and March. Some are reimbursement only and some are fee only (no reimbursement). None include travel or any other holiday costs, so the jobs are only any use to someone already holidaying in the resorts. You may need to change the default search dates on Sassie to see these jobs.

But does it still remove body hair the way it used to?

Good one BL. I got the Apple spelling wrong. It is iMac. And I dont need Immac I got a MS waxing job done for free. No fee but it costs a fortune. Bloody sore though. You guys don't realise what us gals have to go through for your benefits.
Used to get all that stuff done when modelling but got claiming costs on tax. I'd forgotten quite how painful it is. Ouch.

I could be wrong but I put my travel against as a tax loss as it is not re-imbursed. The meal costs I pay tax on as it is a perk so therefore a benefit. The cost of the overnight stay puzzled me so I phoned the tax office. They said if it is a hotel I was not staying in for a holiday!!! it was therefore work so I could claim tax on that cost. I put it on my tax thing an it wasn't queried. I think though you should maybe phone them as I have sometimes esp when I was new to this phoned that tax office and got different answers.

HTH but dont take it as gospel as I think staff in HMRC also get confused.
