Hi there,
I'm just about to apply to become a mystery shopper, just for some extra money really. Not done it before, am a bit scared lol! As suggested on the start of this thread I'm going to start with GAPbuster (i think!). is it normal for these companies to be asking for financial info and bank details in the application forms?
Thanks!
Hi there,
Yup, it's perfectly normal for them to ask those sort of info so you can be paid once you've completed your assignment/s correctly.0 -
I have to disagree. My wife and I have had several very enjoyable nights away that would normally cost over £200 (not always with Caroline I might add). It's a luxury we could not afford so, whilst we don't benefit financially, we have a good weekend away from out normal environment. That's the benefit
I agree with you. I do work for a company which is all restaurants or hotel stays. Recently hubbie and I got to stay in a top class hotel 4 miles from home!!! Got no fee but got a 3 course simply superb meal ( was like Masterchef). Drinks before dinner plus we had £** to order room service drinks to check how long it took and how they were served. Room was luxury. We even had an Imac. The Imac played the TV and radio, you could check the restaurant menu and surf the net. We also got use of the gym and swimming pool and sauna as I had to assess that also. The cost was £*** for 1 night. I got re-imbursed within 7 days so I think it was worth it. So it is a hotel which would be way out of my reach normally. And gave me an idea how good an iMac is.Obviously a fairly long report. So much so when my desktop pc comes to the end of its life and dies I am going to get one. Far better than a wondows pc. haha was tempted to do it on the Apple Imac but didn't dare in case the hotel could track it back.0 -
Can you remove costs please from your post0

I totally see what you're saying, but to be honest it makes it worse as they should check their details before sending something so accusatory out.
They didn't have any problems with my reliability, report writing or timing when they phoned me last week begging me to do urgent jobs!
I'm not going to lose any sleep about it though as at the end of the day it's my choice if I accept their jobs or not, I'm just disgusted with their attitude. We all know that in general they couldn't organise a p*** up at a brewery. :rotfl:
I know how you feel Squidgeum and sympathise. Remember all the snow last year. Many of us had to cancel jobs with all the companies. Most were understanding about it but TNS sent out a general email which was like something a headmaster would put out. ie You are all very naughty, cancelling jobs and making our lifes inconvenient. Do it again and you will go into the naughty corner with a dunce's cap on ( well actually it was a threat to remove you as a shopper). Don't know about anyone else but I get daily begging emails for jobs which they can't get done. Think it is because loads of people took the hump and stopped doing any work for them.0 -
Has anybody completed a "charm" shop for Bare and gone to allocate another one and they say you can't self assign? I have the right qualifications for the shop but now feel a little bit cheesed off. My previous report has not been graded yet.
For the shop visits you should be able to self allocate two, one weekday and one weekend. For the calls you can self allocate one of each scenario, so up to three should be possible.0 -

SASSIE clearly shows that it's a limit of one shop per wave.0 -
