I never got the chemists or the cinemas, despite doing perfect work for them previously. Can't believe many people in Dundee would have beaten me to it and they're not worth travelling for.

    Re RE
The proof reader one that deals with my bit of Scotland seems fine. I've never had a daft proof reading and no sign of the email either. (YET):rotfl:

I think the first 3 letters of that company's name describes them perfectly!

With React, GFK, ESA, Amber Arch, they don't let newbies pick and choose all the visits to start off with. Once you have a good reputation with them, they let you do whatever you want and allocate freely. They don't make you wait months on end!

Also, does anyone have a telephone number for Bare UK? Is there a restriction as to how many jewellery visits one can do?

Jewellery visits: 2 x shop visits and 3 x telephone calls

I haven't had the RE email (yet!) but will kick off if I do... I once had a "report not filed within 24 hours" on a hotel visit that I filed by 9am that morning, straight after my hotel breakfast!

  • Still nothing for me either although I wont lose sleep over it, like I said earlier if I don't get one I will be astonished. Incidentally who actually proofreads the shops? Is it other shoppers or what?

So, you all know that I love Helion, and this is yet another reason why:

I was allocated some shops a few weeks ago, completed them at the start of the wave, and input the results the weekend of 30/31 Oct.

Although hoping desperately, I really wasn't expecting payment until mid/end December, given that I'd completed these jobs very quickly and VERY early on in the wave.

Payment was made a few days ago, via paypal, and without fees this time.

    Cracking job!

Personally, I trhink it's time for people who experience RE's silly proof reading/non-payment issues to start writing to the head office of the client in question - I think it's the only way RE will learn.

No-one forces you to do RE jobs

    Complaining to the client will
1 Get you removed from the RE rota for all jobs

2 Pee the client off to the point they may stop using any MSing company

    Bad idea IMO

  • Not worth an alert, but if anyone is off to Centerparcs at Elvesen before 24th November, there is a restaurant job on RE to be done there.

    Could be done anonymously maybe!

I think if a comapny has decided it wants to have a MS program, then complaints about the actual MS comapny themselves wouldn't make them think Oh we just won't bother at all. There are so many MS companies out there, which get really positive feedback from us shoppers, so a client would have several to choose from.
Just because RE pays us a pittance, that definitely doesn't mean they charge their clients a pittance. I know from an area director for one of their clients that RE charge similarly to other MS companies. Apparently their big cheeses haven't been that happy with RE lately anyway, and since all my moans about them he's actively pushing to change contracts!

    Bad idea IMO

Now I just need to befriend the Big Cheeses at a few pubs, bookshops, electrical stores etc!! :D:cool:

    1. Not if RE didn't know who you were ;-)
    2. Or switch to an MS Co, rather than an excuse for one.
