On a lighter note, who's going to win X Factor?

    Please please not Wagner!!:rotfl::rotfl:

I think it will be between Cher Lloyd, Rebecca (alhough she will get a recording contract whatever) Matt and One direction (just because of the media hype)

Think I am getting old though when the excuse for it being a bad song is they dont know them, and I'm a celebrity starts tonight and I have to confess to not having heard of half of them either!!

Scuba - sorry to hear about your boy, ex forces myself and today is always a reflective day xx

  • Hi everyone

Got my first ESA pharmacy jobs later in the week where you have to interview customers.

Are they usually ok with you doing this or do they think you're weird?
  • Im sure no offence was intended. Lest we forget. Indeed!! Thank you all for your very moving posts. Shed a tear this afternoon reading that poem.

Matt or Rebecca should win. Although it is all geared to Simon Cowel winning with his hand-picked boy band.

There's never been anyone there for me to interview so I've never done it!

Thursday at 11 was a bit of a mixed bag at Sittingbourne station.

As I stepped off the train they announced the silence and almost everyone stood still for it (always a couple of utterly self obsessed who hurried away). There was a woman with a toddler or two who was totally oblivious and had a loud conversation with her kids throughout most of it-then realized and shut up. The station staff completely messed up. They managed to stop 2 "Take your bags with you" announcements almost as soon as they started but (and I suspect due to someone hitting every button going to sto p the previous tannoys) over the tannoy came a BT announcement "The person you are calling knows you are waiting" that took longer to stop. I appreciated the fact they reminded passengers and asked the to respectit-but what a pity they didn't prepare their own equipment better for it.

I don't watch the X Factor but love the fact everyone else does- I work on a tech support BB helpline and half an hour before the X Factor our calls stop dead and we have a very lazy couple of hours so I love it too ;)

I did it - was really easy I picked on an old chap who was delighted to help. I find pensioners are the best to ask. I just lurked outside and picked him off as he came out. I just say I'm auditing the store and the <company name> like customer opinion on the service. I make sure the letter of authority is visable as I ask (the one with the company logo on it not ESAs)

At least four times I have done this and people are very happy to answer the questions, especially when you say it is for the ---- and to do with service. Good Luck

Just tried doing a health shop for RE today, but it was closed. It does not open on Sundays. Hmmm. Will I get paid for attempting it or not?

Also, with the BARE charm bracelet shop. It says nowhere on the paperwork that you can't return the item. Has anyone tried it? I have absolutely no use for a charm bracelet!
  • Hi :)

Wanting some advice really. I'm updating my CV hoping to go back to working in my industry next year. I've been MS part time since 2007 and also I am a stay at home mum. I haven't worked in my industry since 2004.

How do I put my employment of Mystery Shopping on my CV, bearing in mind that potential employers will be mystery shopped themselves :o:o. I dont want my self employment to go against me but also want to prove that I have been working.

Can anybody help me? PM me if you like.

    Many thanks x

Some RE assignments mention in the assignment notes to check the opening hours/days of the store. If it doesnt say this in the brief then you might get paid. I doubt it though. You could offer to reshop it.

I picked up an underground shop and when I went to the exact location the store had gone bust! I wasnt paid! luckily I was passing it anyway so didnt make a special trip.
