If it's RE ring and speak to the person who deals with the account and they'll reverse it . They *are* aware that their new proof readers are going a bit OTT at times.

    RE proofreaders!!!!!

I had a recent query. The assignment questionnaire had asked me to state why I felt that a MoS had not given a persuasive pitch for a particular product. In my report, I answered this by saying that the MoS had drawn my attention to negative features of this product, whereas he had only mentioned positive features of the competitor product.

The proofreader's query was, "How did you feel?" My response was something along the lines of: GET A GRIP!

OK, so how DID I feel? I felt that I had answered the original question perfectly adequately, and that the proofreader was making me feel extremely cross by asking a question that hadn't been asked in the first place.
  • I've got a RE rant as well.

Did a pizza delivery job last night. Phone order, recorded phone call so obviously need to wait for the audio file to be available.

Got email just before 11am to say the file was available. Then an email just AFTER 11am saying the job was overdue and could I please complete it by 11am tomorrow. I'm quick at typing up reports, but not that quick!

Was pleased - and surprised - to see there was a fairly decent reimbursement AND a small fee for the job!

I've got a RE rant as well.

And I've got one of the usual ones. I booked a job. Not my first with RE by any means! I received an emal reminding me two days before the job was due. I received a phone call the day before. I received another email on the day. I received another phone call on the day. As my daughter answered this second phone call, she rolled her eyes. I said, very loudly, "If that's RE, and they're ringing me to remind me about tonight's job, they can stick their ****** job if they can't trust me to do it without four reminders. If it is RE, just remind them that I have NEVER EVER dropped one of their jobs, and tell them that their time and money would be better spent chasing those who do drop jobs."

The caller apparently seemed a bit sheepish!

  • is the pizza buffet called 'the everything buffet'???

Do i have to order a salad bowl or is that included?

Bit confused as it tells me to only order pan crust but if it's a buffet how do i do that?
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!
